I don't care about The Division that much, but putting any of the classic three on the list (Rainbow 6, Ghost Recon and Splinter Cell) made it personal for me.

Basically what Rainbow6Siege was from 2015-2019. After 2019, the game started going downhill.They kept listening to the wrong people (the Esports sweats/tryhards) on how to make a fun competitive ranked experience. Basically, the Esports/Sweats voted on decision that would benefit their team/squad the most, instead of what would make the game better. As a result we have a boring meta that requires hours of practicing to get right.

@@Artemyst oh it is a copy and paste, but from their own games, not the others. There is a trend in ubisoft games that, whenever something works, it will be implemented to every games they create. Play any ubisoft's open world game, you'll realise that many of their game mechanics are also present in other games in different series. Maybe one day their games will be indistinguishable from one another.

They’ve been pretty good for the most part with Future Soldier being my all time favorite GR game, Siege was pretty fun, Wildlands was awesome, and Breakpoint was very flawed but decently fun in its own way, I also think Extraction will have its significant fan base but I’m not sure what Xdefiant will become. I think you’re a bit too critical of the entire thing as a whole, I mean there’s good and bad to every TC game, but I’m getting the feeling you’re focusing on the flaws of said game.

i remember ubisoft saying something like "siege is a realistic shooter game" and then managed to release agents with outlandishly futuristic extraterrestrial gadgets from 2017 onwards

As someone who grew up with some of the great Tom Clancy’s Games, I can’t even put into words my disappointment. Tarnishing a great name, awful.

If it weren't attached to the Tom Clancy name it might look like a middle of the road F2P shooter. But the fact that Clancy's name has been bastardized to this degree is just insulting. I miss the days when "Tom Clancy" meant serious, grounded, thrilling military espionage and drama.

I got in the closed test for the game, and played a little bit. And let me just say that this game is UNBEARABLY BAD. Aside from all of the points you mentioned in this video, the game suffers from bulky movement that reminds me of cold war's shit movement, as well as unstable servers that kicks me from the lobby one out of three games. The progression is awful, you gain almost no goddamn xp even if you play well, which has me stuck behind all these people who are already high level and has way better guns unlocked, putting me at a massive disadvantage right off the bat. But I think the worst part of all is the abilities in this game. I thought that this was supposed to be a shooter? So why do we have people hiding behind unbreakable one way plasma barriers, mfs running around with a scattergun that spawns a shield around you and forces people to fight you in close quarters where you can one shot them, and an insta kill flame thrower? I really wish that I could get that 5 hours of my life back, because that was the least fun I've had playing a game in a while.

The Tom Clancy branding should have died out two decades ago after the first few Rainbow Six and Ghost Recon games. Pretty much everything after that has been arcadey garbage... and in more recent years, woke-heavy, diversity-laden, edgy-wannabe punk trash.

also in the trailer they talk about gun customization yet all we see on the guns are red dot sights we see litterally nothing else on the guns do i have to pay to get a foregrip or something

This is why I've been playing games like Squad, insurgency, hell let loose for years and don't ever plan on going back to this type of bullshit game. There are so many more deserving indie devs/small devs that deserve our money.

yeah for real. I really wish Ubisoft and Tom Clancy could just end the partnership like EA and Star Wars, assuming it's even that simple in this case.

If I had enough energy and could concentrate on this ever-spreading dark phenomenon of turning historical franchises to money printing machines, I would at least weep for hours on how they've been constantly abusing/tainting Tom Clancy's name and legacy.

I don't even want that anymore! First, I don't trust Ubi to competently make the game. Second, I just know there'd be online bullshit about it on social media; idgaf where anyone falls on it, but I know there'd be people either pissed it didn't comment on what happened on January 6 or people pissed that it did. I don't want R6 Patriots anymore at this point.

They are realistic force foelds, they generate a "safe space" field where your feelings won't get hurt by mean words and wrong-think.

this is the same way that bethesda tried to market rage 2 and that was a shitshow

We all remember how f****** s*** The Snowdrop engine was getting a game that looked amazing on paper and on trailers and then the game actually was devoid of any effects

the funny part is, people woudnt be as upset over the game if the "Tom Clancy" part of the name didnt exist

Um, u think this game screams "a game that could go in any direction because there's not enough info on it yet, but if it succeeds at what it's trying to do, it could be an actual competitor to Warzone". Look I get it, it's the last straw of Ubisoft shitting on Tom Clancy. The game blows in that respect but as an actual game, I don't see a problem with it's premise and goals.

@@Gabe7Gal I respect the comment honestly. The thing is, it’s not a Battle Royale (I don’t think Ubisoft wants it to end like HyperScape did) so comparing it to WarZone isn’t a reasonable comparison. The game COULD go in any direction and it COULD be good, but look at the countless issues people have had with the dossing and cheating in Siege, the lack of anything in Breakpoint, etc. What we simply don’t agree with is that this game is not canon to the Tom Clancy universe and on top of that, they haven’t made an attempt to fix any of the issues in their other games and in some cases, have let them die off so they don’t have to continue updating it. We’ll see how this turns out, but my bet, it won’t be good.

@@CallMeBlackout_ eh, siege has issues but nothing bad enough to really shake it's strong following. Trust me I don't fully trust Ubisoft yet either and I'm not at all saying that this game won't be a flop, but they are showing some progress admittedly. As for Warzone.... it's a competitor for SURE. Yeah this game isn't a BR but the core gameplay is going for a very similar thing. Tons of people don't actually play the BR mode in Warzone anyway. See the biggest problem with Warzone, besides the horrendous cheating, is the fact that it's hyper-casual unfair bullshit gameplay. So if XDefiant manages to offer the same type of arcadey gameplay and gun-porn attachment system, while actually having a proper skill gap, then it will have meaningful place in the current f2p space.

Read my mind. I thought EA and Konami were just mean and evil sons of bitches, but Ubisoft shitting on Tom Clancy's name for a cheap buck for this Fornite clone? Why not name it "Tom Clancy's My First Lego FPS"?

specifically referring to the recoil statement, its shown on PC so its not hard to laser beam recoil with a mouse. Its also early so the recoil values can be tweaked if they really are too low. Also Siege recoil can often be laser beamed so I don't see an issue.

People who say, "it's just an alpha" need to look at MWs alpha... the animations were already almost completely flushed out, this game is literally horseshit

Free to play idiots from warzone will give Ubisoft a chance to survive instead of a chance for them to redesign Tom Clancy and give us splinter cell and Ghost recon.

It's an asset flip just like extraction. Its using all the divisions assets. It seems ubisoft is trying to squeeze every penny out of their work.

I was honestly convinced it was another Division spin-off when IGN showed the 25 seconds of gameplay before the announcement. I don't mind reusing assets here and there, but they didn't even try to make something new here, aside from the characters that are going to be heavily monetized.

tom clancy was an author who has written some of the best military novels ever and Ubisoft has been making game as service online only games with tom Clancy brand and these games don't even have any single player story modes and they have gone as far as creating fictional, zombie and a cartoonish game with tom Clancy's brand how could they disrespect tom clancy's legacy like that

I honestly couldn't agree more. The moment I saw this game, even the name, I thought how tacky and generic this game will be. It just looks boring and reminds me of mediocre mobile games. This isn't Tom Clancy.

To all you people upset we got this instead of Splinter Cell: look at the state of R6 and GR and ask yourselves if you really want SC to get the same treatment? If you really think modern day Ubisoft can make something that does the series justice boy do I have a bridge to sell you.

@@meyers0781 Stealth in those games is quite simplistic. In Chaos Theory IIRC guards would even notice open doors that were supposed to be closed. The Thief games had amazing sound design that didn't have you rely on wallhacks to know if a guard was nearby (yes, I know about the sonar in SC), you could tell by the footsteps. You could lean and put your ear against a door and listen for any sounds coming from the other room. Including stealth in games like Far Cry or Watch Dogs (and many others) is what killed good stealh gameplay. Because a more hardcore stealth experience is not everyone's cup of tea (nothing wrong with that, everyone has their likes) so they have to simplify it to make it appealing if they included it in these new types of games. So now stealth is included as "just another way to play" in certain games and is never very fleshed out. And seeing how Ubisoft is turning everything with single player into a live service open world game with a cosmetic cash shop and coupling that with the current trend in stealth gameplay a new SC game would just suck.

I honestly feel sorry for the devs, they know the game look fucking awful but have no choice. To put a trailer out for a game that looks like its been made for the PS3 in 2021 is straight up embarrassing and a massive disrespect to put Tom Clancy's name in front of it. they should be ashamed of themselves.

Apart from Rainbow Six Siege the last title I played was Splinter Cell Conviction, and that came free with my Xbox 360... 'Tom Clancy' games are Trash, not because of the IP but because the games are always lackluster, rushed and have no personality.

The Division 2 is pretty much a huge improvement over the first, enemies are no longer bullet sponges. Yes there's still purple and gold enemies but they aren't inhumanly bulletproof like in the first.

I assume it will be terribly predatory and not particularly respectful of their consumer's wallets. I anticipate season/battle passes, possibly paid operators and likely loot boxes. I would love to be wrong and this is of course all wild speculation on my part, but given their past, I would say it is reasonable.

because by law, they can't really do anything about it. Ubisoft got perpetual IP rights to the Tom Clancy name and can put it on any game they produce (since they are the only one with those rights) unless they make this a movie or an official book the Clancy Family can't really do anything about their name being tarnished by Ubisoft I mean they would have 100% done something to Siege if they can do something about it.

@@roshawn1111 the problems I have with this game is that they fucked up the atmosphere, fucked up the Gameplay and fucked up the community. If you get shot in the arm. It's a headshot. It wasn't like that a few years before, I could swear they fucked up the hitbox. Aswell as they fucked up the setting. From a police shooter with real units, to a hero shooter, with funky dancing 15€ skins, pink leopard or chicken helmets and one operator is even gay for some reason. And with all that bs they attracted so many screaming kids compared to 2015 when you only met people who sounded way older than 13. Cool game but the end was meh.

You’re really hating for no reason. It’s pre alpha and already it feels good.
