But you still can’t deny series X is the more powerful console and will look better and hold frames better than the series S across different games, not just forza games. Having owned both series s and X a KZread video doesn't give respect to the series x. It looks day and light Vs series s

The two console have the same SSD throughput so the S should load faster since it has smaller size assets. But in some games the slightly more powerful Series X CPU will give it the edge in making calls for data transfer which is why you see Series X load faster in certain games despite having to transfer larger files at the same SSD speed as the Series S. i still think the S is superior being a playstation fan, i in fact willingly will buy the S just for EA PLAY and Ultimate game pass. just for now till i get a PC because i have my PS3 but locked at 30 fps for old games and my ps5 for my main as my newer games to run on there

Excellent work. Can you compare PC to series X regards load times if using one of the newer/fast M.2 drive like Corsair or Crucial models. Not certain they are fully using "Direct Storge" for load times but do believe the PC version will get "Ultra" option for shaders for even higher detailing on PC.

What for? It is clear that an SSD of a computer with a bandwidth higher than 3 GB will be faster than an SSD on the series x

The rain effect on the windshield on Series S (cockpit view) is pretty bad, whether I use quality or performance mode. I'll have to try with other cars, I'm still at the beginning doing career mode with a Ford Focus. I hope it's just a bug. Sometimes It doesn't look like rain, but more like dots and the wipers at times look like they don't "move" the water to the side of the windshield (I noticed that happens on Series X as well at 3:47). The game runs great otherwise.

Looks pretty good on my $250 s

I played GT7 a lot, now I was switching to Forza. I like the GT7 physics a bit better at the moment, but all other aspects better at Forza. My highlight is the light engine. Man, it's not even a comparison to GT7. On a rainy afternoon or at night with all the car headlights and reflections. Looks awesome!

Have you seen the Path Tracing on the PC version? It looks freak'n amazing.

Nice to hear a good review for once. So many people are nit picking and bitching about this game. Sure, some things could be better. That's true for everything. I think its awesome

I dont care about RT when I'm playing racing or first person shooter games. I'm too busy focusing on the race or not getting shot in those types of games. So I choose performance mode without RT enabled. In these types of games I want the best FPS possible.

There is no difference in performance, digital foundry done a break down, performance RT is the best mode. The only difference with the performance mode is it'll hit higher resolutions at times, but you're losing a lot by not having ray tracing.

@SteelRhinoXpress Why use a gimped mode when the performance is identical in both modes, but RT looks better? More immersion is the reason you'd use the better looking mode, easier to focus, the lighting is a lot better in RT.

@@karl343 gimp mode? It looks fine without RT. you're still reducing FPS with RT performance. I noticed an FPS dip with it on vs it being off with the FPS counter. Sure it may not be as big of a dip in FPS as RT quality mode, but it still comes at a FPS cost since RT elements are still being used, just not to the degree of full blown RT in quality mode.

XSX runs it like WHAT? feeling / GRAPHICS/ physics is BEST OVERALL ANYWHERE. And XSS runs it VERY WELL too, nobody need be disappointed.. this is a UNDERRATED "MASTERPIECE" if Digital foundry called the GOTY edition Forza Horizon 5 a "Xbox masterpiece" .. I'd really recommend the Series X. I had the Series S, but I found the storage too small and the graphical/performance cutbacks to be too much for my taste. Spend just a bit more, and I think you'll be happy you did in the long run. Also, keep in mind that you could save a ton of money buying used physical games versus buying them digitally from Microsoft. The savings on the games would help offset the difference in price between the X and S.

I bought the series s to put at my moms apartment for when I spend the night over there. I couldn’t spend the extra $260 to get the series x I got a family. Forza Motorsport looks better than GT7 even on Series S.

I own the the series s for 6 months now. I played ps5 and xbox x. And literally see the same graphics on all 4 system on a 4k tv. Ps5 slight better with spider man. But other then that on a good tv. You getting the same graphics and game performance. Im not tripping

My game looks nothing like this, it looks like I’m running 720p when I’m on 1440p, everything looks washed out and grainy, Xbox series S. All other games look great

You are comparing the lower resolution textures to the ultra ones and then wondering why one loads faster and showing in detail how the other looks better. These already became obvious as soon as we saw the big difference in download sizes.

your ps5 120 fps "mode" is like ps3 game.. no lying. go type in KZread. it runs @ 720p or so NO LIEEEING.. aliasing EVERYWHERE.. and drops DOWN graphics... ALSO XBOX has VRR2.0 + ALLM( its something increases game movement speed). xbox FM8 this is the SMOOTHEST feeling PHYSICS CAR GAME EVER... + vrr2.0 + ALLM(super lower latency) and the way CAR MOVES smooth + GRAPHICS max xbox level+RTX

There is an ONLINE and iN-GAME ECONOMY that they take SERIOUSLY ( makes sense), and to not CHEAT that economy ( someone cheat offline to help online racing same car) so to STOP CHEATING (ALL I READ on sTeam BULLSHIT reviews is CHEATING OH NO, I broke a white line and got small penalty 0/10 game O.o?) to STOP cheating, they are making the CAREER MODE ( where you BUILD YOUR CARS , to go play ONLINE) they decided to make it online as well. TO MAKE IT ALL FAIR. After being initially little upset ( GT7 IS ALSO AND MANY OTHERS ONLY ONLINE) .. for a RACING SIMULATOR .. (AND everybody got wifi no STFU) it makes sense.

I owned the x and sold it because the house was like a furnace anytime I played it, I'm buying an s next week because I absolutely love Forza and really want to play starfield, so can't wait

GT7 looks way better IMO Less advanced, but more uniform and way more detailed

The inconsistency in this game is downright embarrassing. You can immediately tell when devs recycle old-ass car models from x360 when even the wheel arches on that white Wolksvagen look jagged AF. And there's tons of car models like that, where they didn't bother to touch them up one bit. "From the ground up" MY ASS.

The s will always be faster the way u have it set up , the X has to load so many more gigs of data per texture because Ur running the test with the X having the High DEf Track textures , that is going to set the X to lose to the s when loading this game!!! you need to do without the high def track textures on the x and then see what the load times are !!!

Like Gt7, the multiplayer lobbies suck where you gotta wait 10-20mn for a single match. Both games made me go back to Forza 7, lobbies are still alive and quick to join there. Horizon 5 has decent lobbies too. Gt7 does have some independent lobbies you can join right away, but the race never starts and you just drive aimlessly because the hosts all suck lol.

Im looking to upgrade from my Series S to the X because I want the disc drive but also because after playing on the S for a year its noticable how similar the graphics look to the last generation. I mean the S is basically an SSD upgraded One X. Its not that good compared to what this generation is supposed to be.

Visuals are minimal diffeence at best. Series s is just performance performance all day. 2 years of having the console the little console that could just works Yes grandterdismo 7 really looks like a childrens mobile game. 7 years to make that garbage ? Wow! Sony really down bad. Look at spiderman2 the fact they released that dumpster fire is shocking.

Do they look good? Yes they do! But, PC looks miles better. When you see the Digital foundry video you notice how shitty the consoles actually look.😂 Iam sure this game is heavily cpu stressed by the physics etc... I hope they will optimize it in the future.

The game is shxxxt. Some cars that change gears for instance the 2019 supra it's an auto but shifts like a manual??? The cars look terrible, almost like every car has a chrome filter over it. The fps is so inconsistent, forza horizon 5 and dare I say it, SHXXTS all over "next gen" forza graphics. I can't believe we waited 6 years for this..... crap And the car sounds??? Like since when does a fully upgraded car sound EXACTLY the same as factory but just a little louder??

Just buy a Playstation 😅
