If you just don't pay attention to the story at all, redfall is still fun to me. It is basic though, after a few years it'll probably be a much funner experience. Personally, I'm excited to see what it becomes.

Just so you and Jez are aware, you are wrong About Creative Assembly. They release a Total War game every year or every other year with multiple dlc for every one of them. They have carried Sega on their back with the amount of money they have brought in.

GT7 is the closest racing game to FM. Both are considered sim-lite as opposed to full sim like AC and iRacing. That's why they made those comparisons. There's probably a little console war bullshit in there too but GT7 v FM is fair.

My favourite kind of game is open world co-op games where you have lots of different things you can do and you can also make your own fun like Grounded or GTA

85 is a good score for Forza. But in context of the Motorsport series it’s the second lowest score ever. This one been in development 3x as long as usual too.

There was no way it was ever getting higher, how good it is honestly made no difference when the lows are so low, not due to game but because Xbox bad. Expect more low scores no matter how good the games are. This not paranoia, multiple sites and reviewers have said it in their reviews, Jim sterling, metro, one European site gave Forza low score because it focussed too much on cars ffs

I thought the IGN review was funny when they said it's the best Forza Motorsport ever and gave it a lower score than most of the other Motorsport games 😂

Now that the ABK acquisition is all but officially closed, can we stop talking about what they should purchase next and just focus on the current (massive) stable of teams at Xbox's disposal? These teams have the resources and the time, but they have to deliver. And it's on Phil and his team to make sure we don't have a repeat of Redfall or even 343, with all their issues. It's really that simple. No more excuses.

Came here to say I'd listen to this podcast considerably more than once a year or so if it were an hour or two shorter but I see many comments commending the incredibly long form podcast approach, so keep doing your thing I suppose.

don't forget Netflix used to be 5.99 a month about a fourth of what a movie cost now you're paying for an entire movie "disk" each month and no ever buys disk because of convenience, I can see a future where Xbox is charging $50 to $60 a month and they started massively early so they're gonna lead the industry and be on every single console, ultimately not making consoles anymore

To Jez's idea, they buy Crystal and Edios. The initiative takes one of the crystal studios and renames it as the Initiative. Now you end up with The Initiative- Perfect Dark and Batman Beyond trilogy. Crystal- Tomb Raider, and Indiana Jones cross over games. Adios- Brings back Deus ex and Finishes squares Guardians of the galaxy as a trilogy. Just the cherry on top, get Spawn license and give it to Tango or Ninja theory.

If you have a 15 hour story, and 15 hours of unique and fun gameplay experiences, but your game is 30+ hours? That's a problem with bloat.

Also i have to say, while 85 rating is in no meanings a bad rating, Forza Motorsport was the flagship Forza and regularly rated in the 90s. Now Horizon ist regularly in the 90s and seen as the flagship Forza. I guess this a hard pill to swallow for some of the Motorsport fans. 😂

I’ve been enjoying Gotham knights that game is fun. I recently just beat Batman Arkham knight and I noticed the emptyness of Gotham knights compared to Arkham knight!

Nothing wrong with a game that's 20 hours. If it's a really good 20hrs. Halo was what 15 hrs back in the day, but it was an incredible 15hrs that I replayed many times.😊 But Starfields 150hrs is great too because I have really enjoyed it.

The problem with Forza is to me: it took them so long to make and they said this is a complete overhaul and the restart of the franchise. But in reality it is just the same as always and on some end like singleplayer and tracks even feels less than before! Maybe the driving mechanics are completely overhauled and that's the most important thing yeah, but with the most car models, the features and the tracks they almost didn't do nothing. Just not enough for this long time waiting - at least for me. Maybe in 3 years it will be what promised. But for me it's disappointing. Especially as a singleplayer first guy that they focused almost completely on multiplayer. I still like the game, but this is the problem if it takes a game forever to release. You just expect more.

I recommend you guys play Party Animals for a charity stream. No way you don't have fun playing that together

I remember the writer of the Uncharted series ... Amy Henning was talking about wanting to do a Daredevil game. With her writing the story I could see it being great. Her writing for the Uncharted series was great.

1:54:41 Considering the massive success of Baldur's Gate 3 and the red flags surrounding the KOTOR remake, Microsoft should work with LucasArts/Disney for a SW: KOTOR 3 by Obsidian and make it an Xbox and PC only game. It'd be a fantastic next gen launch title. That or just have obsidian release a Quake styled remastered KOTOR 2 with all the cut content and more. (or both). Edit: I'm incredibly worried for all the studios under WBGames right now with the new WBDiscovery in charge. Aside from NR with MK1, they've been making some REALLY questionable moves that got a lot of hate. The Wonder Woman game from the Shadow of Mordor/War team is all I'm looking forward to at this point.

Turn every assist off. It actually surprised me how good it was with a wheel.

The 85 rating is fine. But if you look at the past games you see that it were rated in the 90s regularly. And the ratings got lower and lower with time. Same goes to Halo and Gears (only Forsa Horizon is regularly in the 90s nowadays). The 3 premier flagship titles once were all rated above the 90s and now dropped to mid 80s. It's normal with long running series and a 80s rating is by no means bad. But i feel the fans demand more. Especially when it comes to releasing without important features like Halo or Motorsport now. Xbox first party has to step up a little bit.

Assassin's Creed Mirage was horrible. I do not want games like that. Valhalla is amazing compared to Mirage. I 100 percent love longer games. 30 hours +

Once the Microsoft deal go through with ABK. I hope Microsoft can get the creators of Prototype ( Radical Entertainment ) to make a prototype 3 and also since they're also the creators of the best Hulk game ever made....The Incredible HULK Ultimate Destruction. They should do a deal with Marvel/Disney to make The Incredible HULK Ultimate Destruction 2 using the Unreal engine 5 tech and give us co-op with the Red Hulk. That would be massive. And make it XBOX/PC exclusive.

Hellblade is such trash. The first one was so bad. I don't understand how you guys like that walking Sim. 2 doesn't look any better.

Iv stopped listening to metacritic because the scoring is all over the place now if you look at older games I feel like the score made more sense a good example is 76 having a better rating than Starfield 🤨 seems to be more bias and review bombing involved and people reviewing types of games they don't even like to begin with
