Many thanks to Don for creating this board, it provides end users with yet another route to Next ownership.

Just watched your video and immediately ordered an Xberry Pi from Don. There's no chance of me getting hold of a Spectrum Next at the prices they go for so this is the best option for me. For anyone wondering they are about £85 and that includes shipping.
New Sub! Detroit, Michigan, US This is Sweet! I've Never owned, or I don't think even Used a Spectrum, but I'm definitely intrigued by them.
I want one, looks like an amazing little board

@@SpectrumNextStuff oh I so plan to. a couple if I’m allowed.
Only thing I would have preferred is USB-C over Mini-USB for power. Looks great.
This looks great! As you were saying, a good base for a portable Next... It'd be great for that and that's something I REALLY want. I'll let Activeconsult know I'm seriously interested.
Very cool!
I immediately wonder whether I could get one of these working in a Recreated ZX Spectrum case. Hmmmmm...

Never owned a recreated Spectrum myself. Not sure how the keyboard is set up.
Oh btw did you get your hands on an rgb cable in the end?
Great video! Is it possible to run the BBC Micro core for the Spectrum NEXT on this board?
Would it support bluetooth keyboard?
Wonderful video! How come there is no audio? Doesn’t HDMI audio work in this board?

Hey, it's small enough to make a handheld Nintendo Switch/Steam Deck....
@Spectrum Next Stuff Can you tell me what exact PS/2 keyboard model you use and whether you may have a link for purchase, please?

That would be great to know, it looks like a very nice compact size.
Raspberry Pi Zero is needed for what? It already got its own HDMI, clearly it works without the Pi, I am confused.

Pi Zero is optional, it can do TZX playback, play certain audio formats. There will be more features in the months to come.

@@SpectrumNextStuff where is the info, on whats coming?
Has Don Superfo advised a price for this board?

You can email him on the address in the description. Prices will fluctuate due to component prices (namely the FPGA).
What power supply did you use?

It’s just a 5V device so most USB chargers should work.
where are ya socials ?
Gerber files would be nice ;)

I agree, but how many of us would buy all the bits to flash the FPGA?
I'm not a Next owner, and no offence intended... but isn't the appeal of the Next platform Rick Dickinson's Spectrum inspired "all in one" design? Without that, it's just a weird fantasy computer that can run original Speccy software. The extra capabilities it offers are no better than real 8 and 16 bit machines from back in the day. If you want to play improved games or write programs, those old platforms already have huge libraries of software. You can run original ZX hardware emulators on any computer, and if you're not after a "real" Next, you can just emulate one for free.

Thousands disagree and have bought the variants of Next clones so…. :)
