That’s real passion that’s what’s the whole team needs to do! They have to be killers on the field, if any of you were there you would act worse. This man lived in La Masia and knows that Barca is not where is CAN be with this squad. Not to mention all the bad refereeing and VAR calls against us. And on top of that you have the media that’s constantly trying to break the team mentally. No my friends Xavi is a great Barca coach and he is the only one right now who can save us. It's not acceptable, maybe if he had a more experienced and calmer presence on his staff that would help in that regard, but they're just as inexperienced as him.

Can you clarify to which project you refer? I can't see any project, any plan... anything... There is no concrete structure in the team, nobody knows what to do, when to run and when to not run, there are no connections between players and also tons of other issues.

I don't know what your definition of losing is, but the game defines it differently. & if reallt having all the possessionand the shots is the measure for winning the game that Real Madrid are pretty average , but that's not how you win in football now s it? Like I said, if Barcelona had the grit, courage and belief that "we will get over the line one way or the other", then it wouldn't matter what the opponent is doing and the team would be in the UCL semi-final despite getting totally outplayed by PSG. But they aren't. If you had approached my comment making a more relevant point like the issue of luck, then you'd be onti something becuz clearly Real Madrid has had more luck than Barca, but in football you create your own luck, you believe and you don't give up no matter what. What we saw against PSG after the Araujo send off was a typical Barca meltdown (as insane as it sounds to say that but yes, "typical"), they just panicked, despite being 2 nil up. You don't create your own luck by doing that and you definitely can't be an elite team by falling apart like that at the slightest sight of adversity. Obviously, great teams like PSG will finish you off if you do that. Tell me something, is insane for me to say this - You take Barca and Madrid and put them in the same circumstances as Barca after the Araujo send off, same players (same Barca players) same circumstances same everything, which shirt do you trust more to do a job on PSG and go through despite the massive setback. For me, I believe if Madrid were in the same situation, they stand much MUCH higher chance of going through than, well as we saw it 4 - 1 (absolutely EMBARRASSING) Barcelona.

Also Take into account that Barcelona spent a total of 3.5 mil in the transfer market in a season where we lost Busi, the most vital player of the Barcelona system. Our team was basically gutted we are relying on la masia players witch have stepped up greatly but lack experience,we lost all of our vet players busi was with us last season and we won the league yet the fans still wanted him gone it’s crazy ,well now we missing vital pivot position and players we thought would fill his shoes haven’t.

There's a Ghanaian DM in Norway called Emmanuel Danso. He's quite incredible, his vision, physicality, passes on both feet is quite commendable and the best part is we won't spend a fortune to sign him.

No no no, don't manipulate the Barca fans into thinking this is a bad decision. This is what we wanted, and we got. Xavi didn't do a bad job at all. Both in the Clasico and PSG match, we had our mistakes but they were majorly affected by refeering horrorshows in both the cases, including the Red Card against PSG. The outcome could have been significantly different had we not been on the side of recieving the bad decisions. Let's not say, "Is it the right decision?" and manipulate everyone into thinking Xavi has done a bad job. Plus, about the celebration by the board members and Xavi, well, the players and those inside of the club are the ones who are affected by the result the most. They will at some point need to divert attention in order to forget what has happened and start afresh. It hurts us as fans, imagine how much it may hurt as smn inside of the club. Let's not grill them on this

Let's not forget that this man won a league title in his first full season and completely embarrassed real madrid. Sure he's made some questionable decisions but that is to be expected from a new coach. I think he'll improve and evolve. We can't afford a better replacement and we can't afford the risk of that replacement not working out. Get rid of high earners and old players and get some young talent or players in their prime.

Even pep fell short many times vs lyon etc at city until he won a treble. I think we're very critical of xavi when, for the most part, he's performed.. we would've beaten psg if araujo didn't get a red card, and we would be having a very different conversation.

I've seen more than enough to know that the future is not with Xavi. The performances were so dire that the only reason they improved was as a direct result of Xavi announcing he's leaving. Our squad is much much better than what our performances suggest, Look at the progress Enrique & PSG has made in the little time he's been there. There's a massive transformation on the way PSG plays now, but with us we have no progress whatsoever even in the way we play. I'm happy to keep him another year if it means next year we can get Klopp etc.

PSG is one of the most financially strong clubs in the world dunce cap which can provide their coaches any player they need or feel is good for the club so stop this comparing ok. If you truly believe tactics is all you need and financial backing is not important then go back under the rock you came out of. Xavi did wonders with the financial circumstances FC Barcelona was under and it was even confirmed again today by Laporta. So if you think a new coach can do better again you better go sleep under a rock somewhere coz you're dreaming

Everyone with a brain knows PSG is financially strong - but has nothing to do with my comment, because man for man Barca arguably has a better squad than PSG. Tactics are the most important thing in football (which is why you see us being outplayed by teams with lesser quality than us), so if you think giving Xavi unlimited budget (if it was possible) is all he needs to win us the UCL, then its clear who's really sleeping under a rock here....

Klopp on numerous occasion have said he loves the city, the people, the weather and he's gonna be in Barcelona sooner than you think, this summer to be exact. Now if you're talking about FC Barcelona, Klopp loves the rich history of FC Barcelona and again he also knows about the current mess and how it won't take overnight to fix those mess. With that being said, and again if you really understand football, why would a coach like Klopp get himself into a club that for the foreseeable future and perhaps longer does not have financially stability. Obviously he has seen what Xavi went through and for sure a coach like Klopp oh he's coming with demands and long list of demands and don't forget there is also RM thats sadly a bigger opportunity to now because its a big club, rich history, financially stable, great squad, if Klopp wants to make changes club will back him within a blink of an eye, comforting working situation. PSG has played better in prior years to Mbappe than now. The Zlatan PSG was much better. This PSG might have won, but they were dominated by Barca

This is absolutely 100% the correct decision. Xavi is the right man to lead Barcelona forward. He’s shown it and the squad has lots of promise. He gave kids like Yamal, Fermin, Guiu, Balde, and Fort chances and they’re so full of potential. Imagine if he continues to bring the top La Masia talent to the first team.

Isn't that a rival thing though? When we were at top, they compared and competed with us. Now that they're better at some aspects, we compare ourselves with their standards. Both the teams are obsessed with each other and are out for each other too

I'm happy that he gets another season hoping for a strong finish and even stronger opening to the new season. Clear tactics and subs at the right times and being slightly more adventurous in times when we need that spark. Gavi and Xavi next season is one of the main things I hope for. His heart for the club is what is gonna get us back to winning ways and the don't give up even after the final whistle.

Not sure what went down between deco, Laporta, and Xavi earlier that he had to announce. It was premature of Xavi to that. I hope we don’t see these underhanded tactics in the name of team motivation again

Bad news for players like ansu fati and roque and others on loan......this team needs change from top to bottom. Nothing will change next season. The team only played better after xavi said he's leaving which is never a good sign.

I agree with everything you said, yet I feel that we have been changing coaches in recent years and have been blaming them over and over again. I admit Xavi is not the best choice he, still, has a lot to learn but given our circumstances and current state of the club, let's face it we need stability and to keep our young project (growing our young players as we have been to help us financially and Xavi has been the better coach I have seen capable to do that in our recent history), we shouldn't compare ourselves to the top 5 clubs at this point, we shouldn't pretent we are world beaters what we just have is good potential to quickly get back there if we can put ourselves together. I think it's fair to give him one last season and extendable based on both results and performance. I am Okay with the decision.

No no you are wrong, he did well this season, football was good too. What turned this season bad was inefficieny infront of goal and Refs. I have watched this club for a very long... Xavi did well. Under the dire circumstance, he was amazing. Not every one can coach Barca, you need to have a legacy and reputtion- to have respect in the locker room. He has it in spades. We keep Xavi. He has no dm either... after freaking Busi left.

Stop blaming the refs, every barca team has had decisions for and against them and they always found a way to win. These players need to take accountability and xavi needs to be more disciplined and not loose his head at every small decision

I have faith in Xavi for 1 big reason. In his first season (half season) we had lost Messi and we were looking for answers. He got a few players in the winter, but mainly, when he then got the players he wanted in the summer... we won the league and Super Copa - playing very, very well in the first 6 months, and it the final too. But then we lose Busi, with Romeu as the replacement. And then we lose Dembele, who was vital to Xavi's system. This season, he didn't have the players he needed to make his team work. But Yamal has stepped up, and it seems he has found at least part of the answer in the second half of this season. With a good summer - getting a dm and keeping the key players, Xavi will make this team not only compete again, but do it playing well.

Let's not forget that Xhavi took us from the Bottom 'almost', so Before getting all emotional let's rememBer that since he came through, we've always been within the Top 4 & our performance has stadily shown improvement (Regardless how slow it's been) *Let's not make the haters happy. ♥

We forget that we’re not only competing with Madrid, but with the media. Xavi announced his departure so that the press would get off everyone’s back and the team could work in peace. Other clubs get to build in silence, but for us, the press NEEDS a story everyday. It felt like everyday was a new scandal. But once Xavi said he was leaving, the media left us alone, the players were clearly less stressed, and played with more confidence. If Laporta and Co can help keep the press at bay, this team can properly build.

Here comes the end of my support for FCB. It seems the mgt is okay with having an average ranked manager which makes the team an average-ranked team. So sad!!😢

This means we get Bernardo Silva next season. Xavi im greatful for him staying but he still has a lot to prove in the big/crunch games..we hasnt delivered yet.

Why Bernardo Silva first option instead of Nico Williams fast creative winger and Amadou Onana/Zubimendi a CDM. We already have Gundo, Pedri, FDJ, Fermin, those are all similar to Bernardo Silva style. Don't get me wrong i would absolutely love Bernardo Silva at FC Barcelona but i think our first priority should be a creative winger and a CDM/pivot player!

@@lbarcelona1062 I don't agree why Wirtz is a fantastic player but his market value is €110M minimum probably, that is way too expensive for this season 30 games 11 goals 11 assist... that is not worth more than €110M. With that money you can get Amadou Onana/Zubimendi CDM, a creative winger in Nico Williams LW, and add €30M and you get Kimmich RB/CDM. We need to learn that players are a lot of times overhyped and we need to see their stats in comparison with the market value otherwise we will be really broke in couple years.

Honestly Xavi started cooking after saying he would leave. If he can keep that attitude next season and add on to it I think we can win more titles. I'm happy with this decision.

The board has no power to sell any part of the club, according to the Barcelona constitution they will need 90% of the members to agree. Only the socios can sell the club because they are the rightful owners of the club.

I honestly don't know what's wrong with our fanbase not backing Xavi. I'm sure 22/23 season when we were beating real madrid a lot everyone wanted him to stay. 23/24 season we lost our DMID that we had for years, still managed to reach to the quarter finals, unluckily we barely missed the semis... All of this without a Dmid. in his 2nd full season. Coming after winning la liga in his first season (very hard if you look at how it's really real madrid's league) but you guys still dont want him to be our coach? I guess he has to have a 100% win rate to satisfy some of our fans lol. My wish is that Barcelona fans look at the bigger picture and not cry about literally every single thing.

xavi staying probably means gundogan and lewa are staying and play every game for80 - 90 minutes, ridiculous. sell those 2 to saudi arabia. main targets should be julian alvarez, michael olise, nico williams xavi simons, antonio silva. kounde needs to get use to playing right back, dont sign cancelo, only bring back joao felix if its for cheap. snubbing raphina for lamine yamal every game is not the right move, the kid is special but he needs to get a right foot, crossing the ball into the box needs to be his priority, my one gripe with xavi is his player selection. playing lewa every game for almost 90 minutes is not good for ferran torres or vitor, around the 60 minute mark we get no pressing from lewa, even before that his pressing is lack luster, WE NEED JULIAN ALVAREZ

Xavi is a genius. He even played the media. That tells you the brain cells he got. He didn't get lucky this time but club as whole will improve. If laporta wants him bad, trust me laporta knows what he's got.

I honestly think this is the best decision for us. We cannot expect instant results. Xavi is a brand new coach and he has learn from his mistakes. Xavi was able to win the league in his first full season and if it wasn't for the red card we would have been in the UCL semi final.

One of these thing is likely to happen next season... It's either we win it all or regret not letting Xavi go. My money is on the latter and I will be there

Yet not hold our coach, our players and our president accountable for mediocrity. At some point we have to stop the excuses and just hold ourselves accountable. i Think that its good that Xavi is staying. i dont think and other coach could do it with this team that he already has built, but that doesnt take away the negative as you said, the bad perfomances and Xavis anger management on the sidelines. Xavi needs to set boundaries next season for example lewa playing when he obv is not inform and stuff.

Guys, tighten your belts for another rocky year. If you value your mental health don’t get emotionally invested in Barca’s games next season. Xavi will not suddenly become a different manager overnight and the players will not suddenly develop monster mentality. Only a change in manager to an intense manager can truly save us. Period.

A lot of people are comparing Xavi and Barca with Arteta and Arsenal, and I think there’s an immense difference between the two cases. Xavi has shown to be a hotheaded person which we have the red cards to show for it while demonstrating stubbornness to adapt although there has been improvements in the latter. Arteta is much more of a composed coach and as a coach you need to be the figure that instills confidence and security in your team emotionally. Him retracting his decision to quit will demand improvement in these aspects of his coaching . An incredibly worrying scenario is if he crumbles again to the pressure to produce consistent results when both the fan base and media inevitably criticize him and the squad. Very risky decision from both the board and coach, but it also carries the potential to create a promising project such as Arteta and Arsenal.

I do think there is a lot to be happy about. Both the champions league and clasico were well played. It was individual mistakes that took us out in those back to back games. And personally, throughout the season that has been the pattern in my opinion. I have always appreciated Xavi's style. It is miles better than those before him, and let's not forget that he finally made Barca compete again in the champions league. If it wasn't for Araujo's red card we'd still be in the champions league and people wouldn't be complaining. I think the disappointment is all down to the fact that some people just wanted to see Hansi Flick as coach, let's be honest here...

I fully understand and support the decision taken! We have several talents on the rise whose further developments could have been put on hold if a new manager came in. However, I do agree with you that some major calls have to be made in the squad. Do we need all the midfielders that we have at our disposal? Do we have enough depth in the attacking area? Are players like Torres, Felix and Lewa good enough if we want to compete at the highest level? I also have my doubts about Pedri given his injury record and his physical part of his game. Does he have the grit required at the highest level? Can we afford the luxury of having De Jong, Pedri, aGundo, Firmin in the attacking positions?

I agree with you 100%. Having Xavy stay isn't the best. We need a world-class coach like Flick to compete favorably next season

yes its right club need stability and he has done that.. that club is still under financial restrictions so any manager will struggle. he has brought and given chances to the academy youth players

Honestly I’m happy with Xavi, people in Barca are too concerned with winning 🥇. Everything takes time at least xavi is trying to build us a project that can dominate for generations to come. It’s not something you achieved overnight. Especially with the financial crisis in our club, this process will take a least 3-5 seasons and I’m confident we can achieve great things with xavi. Honestly if you’re a true Barca fan you would understand that building a strong team takes time. We will get there ❤💙

Well he's not gonna be in terms of summer transfers so its gonna be a dogfight again all of next season and if you're a real culer now is the time to go all out and shout and support like theres no tomorrow

We need both the board and Xavi to believe in their project. The worst thing that can happen here is that the coaching team and the club administration are not communicating well. Real Madrid are ahead of us and have an extremely high level, but Barca can't expect to emulate them the way we are at the moment. The best thing Xavi can do is to trust La Masia and invest in a good scouting department (like how we got Pedri).
