Great job Pete and Louis... I'm most likely going to have to get me a bagger for sure .. cause mulching my leaves here in the woods about did my grass and weeds in.. hahaha.. Nice job guys! You might want to check and make sure the deck is still level. Sometimes the weight of the power flow unit will throw the deck off.

Hey Pete and Lewis, just received my X590, with 2 bagger system. Went with that so no weights required. Trying to keep the machine light , cutting Blue Glass ( sod) Love it so far 7 hours . Lewis you may want to wax the inside of the tub and the shoot in the bagger. This will allow no grass from sticking to those areas, try to stay away from wet grass if possible Now I am JD believer

I had the LA 175 and opted for the mulching kit, worked like a dream. The bagger seems like it takes over the machine. Great job....

Hey Ro Jo, Thanks for watching and the advice... In my opinion the 7 bushel system is just too small for the X500 series, and seems better suited for the smaller machines like the X300 series and below. We have a lot of land and we would be dumping the grass more then cutting it with 2 bagger system. I myself have had a 2 bagger system on my old craftsman and I have the 3 bagger system on my X739, and it's night and day how much more grass you can collect. The weight of the system really isn't an issue for the X580 either, it's a pretty strong machine and can handle the 3 bag system. The weights are just to balance the machine how once the grass starts to accumulate.

@@stevekopcial129 Only so much mucking you can do before the grass starts to suffocate and not grow anymore due to clumps of grass everywhere. I like to mulch early in the season when all the chemicals and seed and fertilizer are going down, and then I bag for the rest of the season. I find if I mulch too much then I have a lot of de-thatching to do and then still have to suck that up as well. Thanks for watching and thanks for the comments.

I bought the 14 bushell, dump from seat hopper instead of having the 3 bagger for my 2019 x738. It sure is handy! I also dont start bagging till mid season. I dont have a wide open yard that i cut, so i always blow the grass into the center of the 3 yards, then ill put on the click n go bagging system. Pete, you should have sold your x739 to him! Ben Hovarter Tje dump system it a great system. You should do a video on it I would love to see it. His machine is fairly new so her wouldn’t be in the market for another 10k machine plus accessories. Thanks for watching buddy.

Thanks for the excellent video. I’ve got a 2018 x590 and will be purchasing this bagger for it soon. How wide is the deck with the power flow chute installed, will it go through a six foot door?

It's the 54inch deck. It should fit through a 6ft door

Do you happen to have the JD part number for the blower/ bagger kit .

I have a 2018 x580 and this video were very informative. You show how to put it on, is there an easy way to take it off when pulling a little trailer. Looks like it is best to remove the pins holding the cover and then take off the plastic cover off. What type of weights did you use on the front. I do not have any for my machine yet.

Normally I just remove the bags and put the cover up if i'm pulling a trailer. Up to you how you want to do it. JD has weights for the front of the machine

With that new bracket on that covers the pulley system the double pulley how do you get to the grease fitting underneath cuz I'm a particular on maintenance if you could please reply and maybe send pictures on another video thank you

Hi Pete, enjoyed your video, i'm considering adding a power flow system to my X540 mower with a 48 inch deck, looking into buying a used system off of an X740 and was wondering if the reference to fitting X500/X700 series mowers means that the same power flow system fits both machines?

The power flow is different for the X500 & X700 3 bagger system due to the decks being different.

How did you get the old belt sheave off? Instructions are not very good. They say to use a pipe wrench? Huh? Thanks for your help!

Hey Pete. I saw another video with the guy taking off the discharge shoot completely. In the hopes of not having to cut the discharge chute, do you know if that would be an issue with just removing the chute all together?

I don't know how wide the lawn tractor is with the bagger unit installed. But it's pretty wide. I'm sure you can find that information out on the JD website or in the JD brochure

Is there a way to temporarily detach the power to cut normally without the bagger and then reconnect as needed? Pete

you can leave the bagger on and just remove the power flow from the deck

Hey Pete, I just got the same bagger system for my x590 and I cannot get the spindle off to add the double spindle. Do you have any tips on how you got this one off?

Hey Matt, I did this video so long ago and it was on my neighbors machine that I totally forgot everything I did to be honest. I'm sorry. I don't recall having any issues and the video if I remember correctly shows everything we did. I would say watch the video to make sure you didn't miss anything. Good luck.

Would love to see this broken down step by step. The Deere directions are absolutely horrible and missing several steps. All in all, it was more frustration than it was worth to get this thing up and running.

Channel got hacked and stolen from me. Waiting on KZread to get in-touch with me and correct it. It's a horrible process! Can't believe that they don't have something set up to help fight against things like this. Supposedly thousands of channels were hacked.
