X4 Foundations - Quick Way to Find Data Leak - Snooping Around Mission
A quick way to find a data leak on a station:
1. Shift + 2 to activate Scanning Mode
2. Fly around the station while keeping close to the sections of the station
3. Keep checking for the sign wave indicator just under your speed reading
4. Once you see the sign waves, the tall bars on one side will indicate that the direction you need to turn.

Here are a couple of things to check (image for reference ibb.co/hgVB8Xk ): 1. Check that you have a purple halo around your cockpit. The purple halo indicates the scanner mode is enabled. If you see another color, then a wrong mode is enabled. 2. The sound wave indicator (only works in scanner mode) will be a flat line of dots unless there is a leak near by. If it larger on one side, that is the direction to turn towards to. Do you have a video of your fly through that you can share?
