Yeah I agree with your assessment. As long as you’re not framing towards the sun they work pretty well. Also always make sure they are clean. That’s really important.

Thanks for the follow up. I use a small lens cloth over the top of the X3 before I put the cover on. That way I always have a lens cloth and it protects it from any sand or grit that gets caught on the rubber cover.

@@shingod700 as time went on with them on I noticed more and more defraction and spurs. It is way better without them. Image quality was affected.

@@DaleMrDSimmons Thanks, I want to use it for hard core enduro riding which will have a lot of dust rock thrown, I’m not sure the x3 is the right solution for my use case. I wish they would offer an easily replacable top lens element.
