I don’t get this one thing if Spider-Man the animated series is part of the same universe around the same time as the x-men series. In one story Captain America sacrifices himself so the red skull remains in the vortex. The six forgotten warriors I think was the story name in Spider-Man the animated series. He does show up later in the version of secret wars but at the end everyone is returned to the same place and time with no memories. To me that’s a big continuity issue. I haven’t seen anyone address it yet.

Man it's crazy how marvel can actually use all their characters now. Possibilities are endless

Yep! Almost, they can use Hulk for instance, but they still have legal issue releasing a solo Hulk Movie. So it's fine, but it's not totally perfect.

You hit the nail on the head when you said that there may be people who had children who watched the cartoon. I’m a 61 year old woman who read the X-Men when I was in college. My children read and watched the show growing up. Imagine how my heart warms when I see my grandchildren now watching the show!!! The 2 year old even stops what his is doing when he hears the theme music come on. 😂 (in his genes) ❤

I never hear anyone speak of the Hulk cartoon we used to watch on Saturday mornings. I hope I'm not the only person who remembers and enjoyed it.

My prediction is the final tease is Apocalypse with his new horseman. Gambit as death, Madeline Pryor as famine, Archangel back as war, and maybe an up powered Leech as pestilence. I also think we are building towards Onslaught and Avengers vs X-men in next season

The X-Men 97 is such an awesome show. I would love to see X-men v Avengers movie. That would be amazing.

I really hate how Mark Millar's Civil War is the only story that gets referenced as the precedent for Marvel heroes disagreeing and fighting eachother. It's been going on since the sixties.

It's not because there aren't other stories, it's because this channel was not originally targetted at a comic book fan audience but rather an MCU fan audience that has since become more open to other Marvel properties. He's referencing Civil War because it helps MCU fans by creating an analogy they can understand.

They gotta do an Avengers animated and end X-men 97 going into a full Avengers vs X-Men title for a few seasons.

I think certain events are going to have to lead up to that, the world has to go to shit and be over crowded with super beings so that someone like Bolivar Trask has to be brought in by General Ross to create the Sentential program

It's really cool to watch all the X-men animated series that I watched as a kid with my son and us both getting the new experience of X-men '97 together.

Cyclops also used the phrase 'Never again.' in reference to the Genosha genocide - the same phrase coined and repeated by Magneto a few times in the series. He then goes on to say Magneto said this would happen all along. Definite signs he's being written towards the direction of 'dark Cyclops' taking on Magneto's ethos and mantle - which I'd love to see unfold in X97.

Fun fact before The Avengers Earth's mightiest heroes season 3 got canceled there were going to do Avengers vs X-men

Man, this new season of x-men 97 has been insane!! I’ve been enjoying it quite a lot! If marvel ends up reviving some of the other 90’s shows for new seasons, it would honestly be pretty cool to have a animated universe with the X- men, Avengers, Fantastic 4 and any other heroes that exist within the 90’s universe!!

I think everything after Endgame is leading up to the X-Men, even in Winter Soldier that (probability war ship machine) Civil War (the Accords), Secert Invasion ending with the president declaring war on alien, super beings, The Eternals etc..even after the this "multiverse saga" ends.. after tge FF4 debuts, i wouldn't be shocked if we get Bolivar Trask to begin the sentential program..

I watched X-Men with my boys back when it aired and we were all upset the way it ended. It is so good to see it come back and as if it never skipped a beat. Two things my son was waiting for up until he passed 16 years ago have now come to pass...both thanks to Disney(in a sense)Kingdom Hearts 3 (KH3)and X-Men the Animated Series(now dubbed '97). He might have enjoyed this X-Men show(I know I have for sure)especially when most of the original voice actors returned but I don't think he would have been impressed with KH3, a little underwhelming it really seemed. Rogue has been infected by bastion rewatch the episodes where rogue was reading the mind of that gyrich ,and saw nimrod ,and then shes in Mexico something is missing there, and we will see the results in the next three episodes.

Aha!!! Some of the kids are appalled when I claim that Iron Man didn't sell a lot of comic books once ago. I still remember how confused Stan Lee seemed to be years ago at Batman being a billion-dollar franchise, but he couldn't sell Iron Man like that. But his attitude was so great, I became a big Stan Lee fan because of it. Until this day, that's my favorite memory of Stan Lee, the jocular attitude he had over Batman.

Man I have been waiting for an Avengers v X-Men storyline in the MCU since the Universe started and now it will possibly happen will be interesting and awesome especially for all my favorite characters battling out for the right and wrong of the world that they exits in I can’t wait for more updates from X-Men 97.

Bastions future knowledge can't be that good, he was surprised Xavier was still alive... I'm wondering whose gonna show up in the three parter.

It's weird, seeing this Captain America, and Rogue doing things like the dive kick in the same episode reminds me of the fighting games like Marvel Super Heroes and X-men Vs Street fighter.

What's always been a mystery to me, and I don't think it's ever been addressed within Marvel anywhere, is why just mutants? Why are mutants persecuted the way they are? Humans are supposedly afraid of them because of their powers. What difference does it make whether a person is born with powers or they acquire them?
