Traxxas innovation delivers features and performance not found on any other lighting system. The included high voltage amplifier packs the muscle to efficiently power both high-power light bars in the kit while minimizing losses from excessive current and heat. The tightly regulated output provides stable lighting performance, without flickering or dimming as the battery voltage changes. In another Traxxas first, the smart brake lights work when brakes are applied in both forward and reverse directions. This eliminates the common and annoying problem with generic aftermarket systems that turn on the brake lights while reversing.

@diamus100 haha, the Xmaxx isn't just a car to buy. I'm currently busy on my driver license so once I have that I'm saving up for an Xmaxx

Yes i just got one and i cqn say that it is the best Rc car in my opinion😁. You should buy it over the Maxx just save money and buy it when your ready you will LOVE IT 😁👍🏻👍🏻

JSpiderTTS_44 I've seen my dog sick at one time I didn't know LEDs could get sick how do you treat a sick LED take it to an LED doctor Maybe lol.

So if i get this light kit for the Maxx can i turn lights on and off from the Traxxas Tqi controller say from a third channel.

This is a great kit for my XRT, but, often it fails work correctly, when it does no brake or reverse lights work, fails to show in the app, I've ordered a spare HV kit to see if that's any more consistent, when I say that I've noticed if you risk runaways by powering up the ESC first then the TX it seems to connect again and will work for the next however long...odd.
Is it possible to only install the front light? I don't want the rear light. It would likely get damaged when the body flies off and be a pain to plug in every time I take body on and off.
with this kit can ialso add a prolined led for the roof?

Is this kit water proof can I hose it down it has unused outlets and it worries me to get them wet
Just got this for my brand new xmaxx but when plugged into the esc the xmaxx wont turn on xmaxx works fine without it

Sadly the kit does not work with an aftermarket esc due to the accessory port on the Mxl-8s esc being removed during the upgrade to an aftermarket esc such as the Hobbywing Max-6 or Max-5. The accessory port on the stock esc is where the light kit not only gets its power, but also recognizes when you are braking, going forward, or reversing.
I installed this kit on my x Maxx the other day, only issue was brake lights & reverse light didn’t work👎🏼
I'd like this for my Xmaxx , don't like how the rear lights are in the body ,... body pops off alot , will ruin the wiring .
All cool except my reverse/brake lights dont work right out of the box. $100 wasted. common issue now that i google it and i already put holes in my brand new body. this is ridiculous

The traxxas electronics have left a bad taste in my mouth. This kit only lasted 2 runs and has caused damage to a VXL-8S I recently installed. There are multiple issues on forums about the electronics too. It's so disheartening after spending hundreds of dollars on accessories 😔
