Uea definitely has feelings for King. Seeing the scene where King tells Uea about the date his mom set for him, i cant help but see how James is portraying so well whats in the novel in his facial expressions on the secene. In the novel, he said when King delivered the news, he felt like his entire world came to a standstill and everything around him was just blurry. Perfect delivery from James on this one 👌 Also, Uea set the terms and told King that if either one of them finds a partner, their arrangement needs to end immediately. But that was before he knew it was even possible for him to fall for King as hard as he did. When he asks King to not go smoking, he's basically asking King not to leave him, not only in that moment, but with reference to the date as well. But he feels like its not his place to make that request. Especially because that will force him to admit his feelings for King to an extent. So in that moment, so many things are left unsaid. I love how they express so much with just their eyes. Without having to actually say anything ❤

Uea is feeling things for King, but he doesn’t want to confront the situation of King being with someone else, of his mother finding a match for him, of him losing King because he was the one who came with the rule of ending everything if one of them finds someone else. And this is really their first kiss. The way Uea placed his hand on King’s waist and was caressing it with his fingertips 5:32 (cutting his nails showed how he wants to feel more and not hurt the skin), the way he sensually kissed King’s bicep 5:40 and then looking at each other and hesitantly going for a different kiss 6:11 a more heartfelt one and when King looked at Uea’s expectant eyes, he knew he could go for more and kissed him again 6:23 because they are both feeling more, because they both know they have crossed the line, whether they admit it to themselves or not, they are more than friends with benefits, and King is even indulging Uea and making him happy with just a “Let’s sleep together”. They are so much more, but confessing could end things and they are holding themselves back for different reasons. King is the one who has felt more for Uea since years, so having Uea like this is enough for him, but it’s Uea the one who will overthink later and I just hope King can give the comfort Uea needs before something really bad happens to him 😢

He doesn't know the whole story but knows things are different. Uea hasn't asked for his help. Uea is used to taking care of things on his own. He has a traumatized past but Uea is independent.

Omgg that kiss and the vulnerability when Uea asks King to not smoke. AWWWWW. I feel like when he said 'could you skip it, for me?', he didn't just mean the smoking but also indirectly/ implicitly, the date as well.

He is upset about the date his mom arranged; at the same time he knows that he shouldn't be upset because he made the rules. They aren't together, they don't own each other but they feel a sense of protectivenes and want to claim each other. I do think King knows how je feels but because of everything Uea went through these past weeks ; he isn't trying to push anything. Uea cut his nails because he probably does want to feel closer to King and not be worried he's going to cause marks.
