Fairly good device just a shame the antenna is not connected up internally so it makes no difference to signal strength when removed.

The lady talking on the radio near end of this video is Sarah NR8888, she has since been removed from Network Radios through no fault of her own but now has her own group of channels on zello called "radio network ch 01" through to ch 05, she also has a channel called "Radio Network home" and she does a quiz on that channel a few times a week, last week the prize was an Inrico network radio. Channels seem to be just as busy as network radios.

Does the ptt button work sith zello natively or is there a bunch of hoops to jump through to get it to work? Thanks!

Yes it does!

Please be aware that the charging contacts on the back don't have an isolating diode, and have full battery voltage on them. This could be a problem if you carry it in your pocket, and it comes into contact with a metallic object. I've stuck a piece of tape over the contacts on mine.

Does it or will it show/work google maps/earth? Also as an Android can you enter an email address? I need to be able to use a program called Active 911 which allows me to be toned out by Dispatch and it also gives me turn by turn directions using google maps. So if it with work with g-maps and accepts an email it is something I'd be interested in. Sorry to have bothered you with these question but not much out there on these types of systems.

Yes. It will do pretty much everything an Android Phone will but with a much smaller screen

Thanks, I just ordered the $79 cheapy you just did a vid on but, my order this one after Xmas. Thanks for the reply. I have been off the air for 30+ years and seems like a lot has changed. I'm an Advance but feel like a novice lol

may i ask u sir, how long it will takes when u charge battery fro 0-100%?

About 4 hours. If radio is charged when radio is off it charges to 97% when charged with radio on it charges to 100%

For the demo , Zello was used. However, there are other apps that will get you VHF / UHF repeaters such as Echolink and IRN.
