X Boil Ultralight Camping Stove | Outdoor Gear Essentials | The Best Lightweight Camping Stove?
A quick look at my new ultralight camping stove that I got from outdoor gear essentials.
this is a spirit burner stove with wind shield and pot stand that weighs in at a super light 44 grams.
A link to the Xboil stove set outdoorgearess...

SUITABLE FOR 90- 100M WIDE POTS

Windscreen and pot stand in one
Stable and ridiculously small pack size
Effective and low noise

All X-Boil have holes for tent pegs as an alternative pot support
Space-saving pot hooks
Every X-Boil comes with the safety burner!

Just received my Ultralight FS 75-85 from Outdoor Gear Essentials on Friday. Bit of a last minute rush (as usual with me) but Col at OGE was awesome to deal with. Used it for the first time over the weekend. It was -3C and this little stove boiled a 450ml Ti pot full of partly frozen water in under 10 minutes. Absolutely love this little thing.

Thank you for sharing. I ordered one the other day and I spoke to Colin. I now have mine with me and I'm taking it to the states this year to hike for a month in Virginia. Then hopefully going to Alaska. Regards, Dean

What a fabulous little setup. Never had anything like that but very interested in that particular one. Would a Trangia burner fit inside? I guess it would okay. And an excellent review there too Dan. Nice. :)

No, a Trangia is too high for it. There's not enough distance between burner and pot.

@@xboil right there, thank you for taking the trouble to explain that. I couldn't work out the heights from the video. I'd like to try it out so may try out Dan's the next time we meet up. I'm planning a lightweight trip in a month or so. Cheers, Warren

Looks like nice kit. I read a different comment about the fuel usage, but I only car camp with heavy gear so don’t know if that person has a good point.

Just bought mine and like it. The x+boil and the pot on top are very sturdy and don't fall over even if you "hit" it. Unfortunately the Trangia burner does not work with it, it is too high and the flames get killed.

I made one years ago out of a used Daisy pellet can and some leftover welders felt. I ended up making three different sizes just for fun. I use my favorite one with a Zen Camps triangle windscreen which also works for solid fuel and triangia type burners. I like products that work with more than one thing.

What fuel do you use to keep the flame going and how long will it last, asking as I’ve always used gas. Does the fuel come separately? TIA.

  • @CampLifeBushcraft

You can use meths or bio fuel. For these burners. Yes you carry it separate.. I've just got back from a trip and I did x2 egg and bacon muffins for breakfast on the stove. And used 1 full puck and a half.

G'day Dan, that is well designed alright. I'm guess'n a Firemaple Blade 2 wont fit inside, I'd love one where it did, so as to have the choice of burner on a given day. Anyway well reviewed mate, very compelling. Cheers Duke.
