    @@masbass1011 I put these videos together while I was Interim Pastor at a church where I was installing it. Unfortunately, I don't have one of these of my own to do more videos. I do have a series of videos I'm about to finish that look at Gating, EQ and Compression as the three key effects that are useful on almost every channel. They don't go into the detail of how to set them for various applications, but are focused on explaining what they do. There are lots of videos out there with detailed instruction, but I find there's not much that explains the basics clearly for those who don't already know. That's sort of my focus :)

    As I was following through this video Jon Dufour, which by the way is a very fine walk through, I noticed that on my app it doesn't have Bus 1/Bus 2, just the selected source from the button below Sends on Fader (Snd->Fader). So it would seem I have an updated version of the software. The only minor critique Andrew I would have about this (and any other training video) is when you are going to a new selection, please show the button you chose to get to that area. As opposed to doing a video cut and magically you are at the next section. For example at 11:12 I missed you explaining what you were going to talk about, so I didn't catch that you were going through the controls at the top. Hence, I had no idea where you were. That said, you did a FANTASTIC job of marking everything with the pen when you are talking about them. Best video I've seen by far talking about devices. Very clear and well explained. Well done and thank you so much for putting this together.

    Yes, these videos were created quite some time ago, and I don't have a device myself to be able to do updates. I'm sure that the software has moved on from the point at which these videos were made. I'll try to be more transparent about those transitions in future :)

Let me explain with an example: Ch 1 Bass Guitar Bus 1 Bass Player mMmonitor Bus 2 Guitar Player Monitor Let's assume that Bass Player wants Bass centered in his personal mix and Guitar Player wants bass more on left side but we want that bass guitar is centered in main mix. Can I set this configuration WITHOUT affect the main mix? I thougt I could in BUS layer but as soon as I depress Sbd->Fader the PAN control is disabled. Thanks a lot

    Your vids have been extremely helpful thusfar, but Routing Outputs (i.e. Aux1, Source, Tap) is confusing, and yet no elaboration on this? When no sound is coming out, could this be the problem? I'm thinking it's somehow important, but it's certainly not intuitive. Is Aux1 Bus1? Why is it only Channel 1 instead of the mix we applied in send-to-fader?

  • @AndrewBellous

    @AndrewBellous

    3 жыл бұрын

    Yes. Routing is a confusing topic and hard to explain properly on a video, because it is so circumstance-dependent, that it is hard to explain the function of routing except as a response to a particular issue. These videos are aimed at novice users, and so routing isn't really an issue unless you manage to mess them up. If you changed around the routing, then yes, that could explain why you aren't getting sound.

I mean...i'm using 5 channels, and i must use 2 buses to record in a digital device with xlr. Is there a way to transfer every chanel with his volume to each bus? • @AndrewBellous

    @AndrewBellous

    5 жыл бұрын

    On the 'Sends' tab at the top, you can select where the send draws it's audio from. Change it to 'Post Fader', and you should get the effects that are coming out of the mains on your Aux send. I no longer have access to a board to test this, but I think that should work :) I don't think it's possible to have a separate FX mix going to your Aux channels, just a mirror of your mains.

    The Mackie DL32R is a similar style of mixer that does have an iPad app that you can use to control it. So, depending on your mixer and your tablet, possibly. Only a soundboard that is digital and has the appropriate wireless capability can do this. A regular soundboard can't. I specifically recommended Behringer to the church I'm currently serving specifically because they offer an inexpensive mixer with a decent number of channels that works with PC, Mac, Android and iOS. I've been very impressed with it. I've been testing it out for few weeks, and these are the training materials I'm producing for our team as we prepare to install it.

    There are four effects channels that are global and four that are per channel, if I remember. It's important to keep those straight. I no longer have access to this board, so I'm not able to produce further videos, sorry.

    Richard Benavides, did you find a solution? I'm having problems...I only have acmes to hall reverb. The inserts work but I can't get the global effects to run. Using the android app. So frustrating!

    I have a question. I am using behringer x air xr 18 with android app. But having some issues. One of them and the biggest one for some reason my LR controls buss and visa versa. And I do not know how to fix the issue and can not find any info what can cause it. Would really appreciate your help.

    Thanks for doing this walk through. Totally makes zero sense why they listed Bus 1/2 at the top left when you're in the Snd->Fader and looking at bus 1 or 2. Seriously, what the hell? The other buses list 3, 4, 5 normally.

    That's not something I've tried to do. You need to make sure you install the driver from the Behringer Website so that your computer properly recognizes your computer as an ASIO device, that might be the problem. Otherwise, here's a video on the subject from Behringer. They've made a series of excellent videos I'd encourage you to explore :) kzread.info/dash/bejne/d5am2tiCqsyfdtY.html

    you're restricted to wav files, and the sample rate has to match the console clock at either 48K or 41K. if i'm not mistaken, the bit rate of the file may also need to be 1536kbps.

    Not natively It can passs audio to a DAW which can process VST effects, and then return them for output. If your DAW had an Android remote that might do it.
