fun fact: the person who played the old woman is THE SAME girl who played Maxine! and there's gonna be a prequel called "pearl' about the old woman's younger life. so if you guessed already, the reason why the old lady liked her so much was beacause she saw alot of herself in her. this movie was so good. probably one of my favourite newer movies.

Several of the characters' deaths are foreshadowed in various ways: When Bobby-Lynne exits the strip club at the beginning of the film, a large mural depicting a blonde woman with an alligator pulling off her bikini is seen on the building, foreshadowing Bobby-Lynne's death by an alligator attack. Wayne, in conversation with RJ, tells him that "people's eyes are gonna pop out of their skulls" when they see the adult film they have made; Wayne later dies by having the prongs of a pitchfork impaled through his eye sockets. Jackson mentions several times that he was threatened by farmers with guns while serving in Vietnam; he is ultimately killed by Howard with a shotgun. The van runs over the entrails of a dead cow early on; Pearl meets her end when Maxine backs a truck over her body, crushing her head. In addition, when Howard and Jackson go looking for Pearl, Howard mentions his worry that Pearl will fall and break her hip. When Pearl fires the shotgun at Maxine, the recoil causes her to fly through the air and break her hip upon landing.

The scene where kid Cudi is drinking from the milk carton.. the guy on the carton is the guy hanging in the basement.. and that's his car they find. He's also on a missing poster in the beginning of the movie 😃

A LOT of people laughed at the lady flying backwards from the gunshot. XD It really IS hilarious! I thought Jenna Ortega's character was going to survive. HUGE shock that she was killed off! O_O

I absolutely love this movie. You were spot on when you drew the parallels between porn and horror because that’s exactly what the director was doing. He’s poking fun at the concept of “elevated horror” by having his characters set out to make “elevated porn.” Also, the movie is constantly telling you what’s coming next with clever foreshadowing. 5/5!

I was so freaked out by the old people but then I realized that will be me exactly when I'm old cause I'll probably also be sexually repressed and jealous of all the young people and then I felt sad

Watching this movie in theaters was awful lmao the sounds of the old people fucking was so loud 💀 I absolutely loved the film I haven’t felt so uncomfortable and disgusted in a long time from a horror film. Well okay not true Fresh made me sick but this movie was just gross for the wrong reasons

To answer your question in the adult industry, majority of them fully enjoy it but still it will depends on the situation because some of them are underpaid or need to retake shots when there are errors which is quite tiring. Yeah the pleasure is there but doing scenes is quite uncomfortable especially in a high quality production because filming it will involve a lot of staffs behind the scenes which will pressure you to perform it to the top level than doing it naturally, well not all of the companies do this . Plus according to some adult performers, it affects their sex drive since they do it on a regular basis they kinda used to the feeling of it which affect their personal sex lives plus the substance usage involve of it sometimes. Its very similar to the other forms of acting career actually, enjoyment will depend on your role and how the product sales on the market. Just like the other works out there it could be overwhelming sometimes.

sorry...but no. he's beginning his directorial debut, but this wasn't it. this movie was written, directed, produced and edited by Ti West. and Mia Goth (starred in nymphomaniac with Shia Labeouf)....and she's married to Shia Labeouf ---- were separated a few years, but recently back together & just had a baby!

I walked out of the theatre on first watch feeling a bit let down. but that was really on me; I had hyped it up in my mind too much. However, on second watch I believe this is the best horror movie this year so far and that's coming from an avid Scream fan. The fact that Ti West used a small budget(which kinda pays homage to the kind of films in the 70s this movie is shot like) to make a very well shot, real life horror led film is amazing. He made developing characters, had a good bit of scares, really nice transit shots, and honestly had so many little hints at what's gonna happen ahead of time that makes it worth a 2nd and 3rd view. Like the first time you meet Brittany Snow, she's coming out of the strip club which has a Gator pulling at a blond girls bikini bottom. Or when Martin Henderson says the audience's eyes would pop out their scull. Honestly this movie had no business even existing yet it does. You can tell Ti West is a big Passion Project guy and honestly I'm a fan. His movies are kinda slow so I can understand the people that don't care much for the pacing but the films a 10/10 for me.

A crazy, creepy, and scary sexfest. I loved it!

Ya know, I already HATED blue eye shadow. I cringe when I see women wear it. It was horrible in the 70s.
