    I was looking for an outdoor camera to keep an eye on my dogs in the yard when I'm not home. kzread.infoUgkxOXxsTZ3ptV_Pk0fFl8bNZvVqeoqBQFwe Tried a different one that was absolutely terrible, so I got these instead. They work perfectly! With 3 of these cameras I can see every corner of the yard, and they were very easy to set up. The best part is I only get the footage I want to see, not hours of videos of the bird feeder swaying in the breeze.

    I was looking at getting this camera and was trying to find out if it could be detached from the stand….you’ve made me very happy with showing things in detail. THANK YOU! ☺️ I have a short but very wide garden on a curved road (like a pizza outside edge) so getting the angle right with one camera will be a challenge. A flexible mount will hopefully help me greatly. The thread should also fit one of my modified camera clamp mounts.

    THANK YOU! Just bought a V3 to replace a V2 that developed a sunspot-like issue on the lens, and it was mounted externally using this exact same housing. This is going to make my life SOOO much easier!

    Love Wyze!!!!! I used those type of mounts for my version 2 cameras also. I had one on the top of my outbuilding for over a year and never had issues. I found the pivot point on those problematic. I had a hard time getting them to tighten in just the right angle. Once I switched to the version 3 camera and they included the screw hole on their base, that solved my mounting problem.

    Nice video. I found it very helpful to spray some silicone on the threads of those mounts to prevent them seizing up later and may help with some of the rusting problems those are prone to. I also use those mounts on Camo painted outdoor cameras and have a mount attached to a yard stake from an old solar light, so I can locate it wherever I suspect Mr. Nefarious to come from.

    thank you! i was searching for this info. I have Blink cameras and they suck with night vision. I learned about Wyze cam v3 and am interested in getting some. I use universal mounts like yours on Blink cams, and I wasnt sure how I can mount Wyze above my garage. Blink mount hole is at the back and the mount is installed upside down. Very good to know that I don't have to worry about this for Wyze.

    You're very welcome!! Glad it helped! You will LOVE the Wyze cameras. I recommend them to so many people and not one has ever complained. The biggest "issue" is powering the cameras. Some people have issues finding a way to plug the camera in outdoors. Other than that, THEY ROCK!! Happy Holidays!

    Lol! I’ve been a Blink guy for a few years - serves the purpose for which I got them. LOVE that they are portable w/out hard wiring. But night vision does suck. Getting my FIRST Waze v3 tomorrow . Can’t wait to try it out- especially the Starlight feature! Looks amazing in all the videos I’ve checked out. 👍

    3:04 what is NOT water resistant in any way is the power brick. You have to make sure the brick is well protected if you plan on running an extension cord for outdoor setups where outlets aren't as plentiful

    The power brick connector can be mounted with the open end pointed down ( tie wrap the connectors so the open end point down, water will follow the cord and drip down) then you are secured

    For me the problem with mounting the camera outdoor is the power adapter that comes with it. The power adapter is the only part that is for indoor use only. My power outlet is outside. I searched for a compatible outdoor power adapter, but couldn't fine one. Any suggestions????

    So that is one of the downfalls of the WYZE camera. My suggestion is installing a weather resistant housing over the outlet. Here is a link: TayMac MM410C Single-Gang Horizontal/Vertical Mount Weatherproof In-Use Cover, 16 in 1, 2.75 in, Clear www.amazon.com/dp/B001JEPX44/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_86F4XMP3X85XGJSTXDDH?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 Hope this helps. @@aschadel I actually mounted most of my V3's directly on the transparent cover of these housings. I am certain it is probably against the electrical code, but it keeps me from having un-needed wire runs. Have also mounted 2 V3's side by side using a micr-usb pigtail and a twin camera flash bar, that gives me overlapping coverage in the center and over a 180 degree view.

    Now I have another problem can be three it says my camera is not connected it was working and then it went out and then it says can't find a network which earlier it worked and now it don't

  • @aschadel

    @aschadel

    2 жыл бұрын

    Make sure you have a strong network connection in the place you have the camera. The easiest way to check is make sure your phone is connected to the same Wi-Fi network, go to the spot where the camera is and look at the signal on your phone. If the signal shows 1 or 2 bars, that is low. I have several cameras with a low signal that will sometimes not transmit. Once the camera is setup with a Wi-Fi network, it will remember that network until it’s reset. (Which means pressing the button on the bottom and the camera says “ready to connect.”) Make sense? Hope this helps

    these cameras come with a stick pad also, i was going to out smart the sheriff and mount one on the glass storm door, worked great until I wanted to take it off, the tape didn't want to come off the glass, took me about an hour and 3 razorblades to remove it, careful....

    No, The V2 has a solid plate on the bottom that does not come off. Your options are, magnetic mount, screw mount or buying an enclosed housing. There is a link in the description that will work for you. Search Amazon for Wyze V2 outdoor housing. You will find different ones there. Good luck! Thanks for the question.

    Wow, that's a lot. Most can be answered on the Wyze website but I'll give this a quick shot. 1- You can have a 2 camera set up with nothing other than a wifi connection and a place to plug in the camera. NO HUB IS NEEDED. Add cameras as needed. 2- they do make longer cords for the Wyze cameras. Amazon is the best place to find them. 3- The cameras do have SD card slots that will fit up to a 32GB SD card. You CAN remotely access the camera and card from your mobile phone or smart device. (Ipad) 4- They do offer a service that will record and store your videos for you. It's called Wyze Cam Plus. it's $1.99 per camera. I believe this is an industry-leading price! I would suggest going to wyze.com and browsing around. Everything is easily found there. Hope this helps. Sorry if I didn't answer in the format you requested...Good luck and GO WZYE!! :)
