Thanks for posting this video, it was very helpful! I had 3 out of 3 camera mounts upside down just like in your video, left mount correct, right mount not correct. - Wyze Cam Pan V3 Camera's. Hopefully that will fix the problem of the camera not returning to home position sometimes with Track Motion On.

You're welcome! I'm glad it helped you out :) I've had a problem with Track Motion not returning to Home too. I would contact Wyze & let them know. They been sending down updates so make sure to update yours regularly.

I have the newest version firmware in the cameras. I see this is a common problem from KZread video comments and forums, not returning to the home position sometimes and also not remembering waypoints correctly which I also have that problem sometimes. I bought the cameras directly from Wyze and have had them too long to return. I don't recommend this particular model from Wyze. I have other models from Wyze and they work fine, no problems or issues.

@@CX2Pilot I have the same problem. I've added other cameras to cover more area & just set these as a one position so I can look around when I'm not home. Also after reporting to Wyze several times over the last 2 years Alexa is not functioning on the firestick anymore they still haven't addressed this issue. I would not recommend the model either unless you want the feature to pan on your own.

Set your sensitivity lower. The notifications are quiet annoying.

Hey ✌🏿 Just saw your video, you might wanna turn down your motion detection...I noticed yours was set "factory settings", try starting at 1 for the bugs, Wyze sensors' mos def sensitive in a good way. 👍🏿

thankyou, very helpful. if pan scan is not selected and motion tracking is enabled, does the cam expected to return to "home" after tracking a motion? and how to define a single home position? thanks.

You're welcome! I'm glad it was helpful. You are correct if pan scan is not select & you have motion tracking enabled the camera will return to it's home position. You'll need to set one path way to where you want the camera to return to.

You're welcome. Yes I'm displaying it on my computer. If you use "Phone Link" on Windows you can use any app on your phone. Just type "Phone Link" near the Windows icon "Search Bar" & follow what it asks.

Can you limit the pan/tilt range for motion tracking ? Mine eventually ends up locking on the the ceiling fan or trees that move constantly. We get alot of wind. I’d also like it to not watch my neighbor in the pool.. I mean she is cute, but that’s creepy and I’m not that guy. I’d mount it differently but then it wouldn’t be able to see what I want it to. Tracking is useless to me unless I can limit the pan/tilt range. Plz Help meh!

There is no way that I found. I also found that these cameras just go off their way points by themselves. Mine just seems to never return to the way point I want it at as well. I'm in the process of changing them out & I would not recommend these. They are unreliable.

I would try to reset the camera & make sure your firmware is up to date as they sent down a lot of updates. If that don''t work you might have got a defective one. After having these for a while I really don't like them as the way points you set always get moved some how & when you set it to auto tracking sometimes the camera does not return to the set way point.

Connect your phone to your computer. If you're using "Windows 10" type in "Phone Link" then click on "Apps" on the top of the screen & search for the app & open it. You can also use your other apps.

@@paul34345 Wyze released a few firmware updates & you will have to install all firmware updates before you can setup the camera. It takes sometime to install the updates so let it sit & do it's thing. When you have all the firmware updates installed then you'll be able to get into the setup part.
