Thanks so much and great question. All your data (including your personal information and video streams) will be encrypted and hashed to make sure your identity can't be stolen. I love this pan cam, it blew my mind. It does more than any expensive cam or pan camera's on the market. I will be honest, I never thought i will see the day when I Witness a affordable device combination camera and pan cam with excellent quality video's picture's and 360 turns, night vision, thee abilities that will do more and everything than an expensive cam or camera will do. Hey man, I was on Amazon and someone reported that on the pan cam, they could hear other voices. They contacted Wyse who gave them tips like chg your password and their and to end encryption handshake etc. They said that no one could access it they updated it and heard voices in another language. Have you experienced anything like that in either the v2 or the cam pan? Granted that was a 2018 post, but have you heard of security issues with these cams? SUPER important.. can't be having lax security on cams....

Mark Casas you can “share” access to the camera with multiple people. They just download the app and you will enter their email and they get a notification to accept access. Once they accept the can monitor whichever cameras you give them access to. Hope this helps.

Yeah just setup, all the cams, then put micro sds in all of them at leat 16gb, then do a bulk firmware upgrade on all of them. And then share all of them to your peeps. Cheers!

Thanks for a good video. I have two criticisms, however: 1. While you went over many of the important aspects of the App, you failed to put the hardware through its paces. This is especially important in the camera's operation of motion tracking, the one area I feel this camera is most lacking. If you have put it through its paces in that field, you would have found that it tends to overshoot when tracking, losing sight of the moving target. 2. [Hardly anyone reviews the interface security cameras use with a PC. I am sure that I am not the only interested in this feature, and it would be great if you could add it to your videos. Thx!

Online video storage is limited to only 12 second clips according to another reviewer. 12:33 - only 2 1/2 star ratings for both the Alexa skills apps for both the Wyze Cam and the Ring skills apps.

Yep, we can't edit videos once they're up so the app ratings change pretty frequently. You are right that the clips are only 12 seconds, but if you'd like to make the clips longer than 12 seconds, you can pay extra for Complete Motion Capture. How much storage does it hold on the SD Card? Can you buy more SD Card's for it if you dont want anything deleted?

Thanks for your review. It is helpful.. Can you explain why your device reacts instantly, for example when changing settings or panning, and my Wyze Cam Pan has about a 20 second delay for every command? Even if someone walks into the room and leaves, it takes about 20 seconds to see the image on my screen. Please advise..

Hi Dahvon, They are not wireless but you can link multiple cameras. I wouldn't recommend placing them outside unless you buy an outdoor cover. Here's one on Amazon- bit.ly/2kLNAQL The signal will completely depend on where your router is, but it could work if it's close enough. I would do a test with your phone before installation. I moved from a house to an apartment; management can come & go. If they come into my apartment, will the WCPan continuously record their actions as long as they are in frame, considering I have an memory card installed? Theoretically, I would receive a notification on my iPhone, then cam I view them live, or communicate with them?

Hi Charles, yes, you can set up continuous recording to the microSD card. Also make sure you have motion and person detection on. You'll be notified whenever the camera detects movement or a person (depending on your preferences). You'll be able to livestream footage at any time and communicate with them through two-way audio. Do you mean person detection? That was actually rolled back after a recent update- I included it in the KZread description and written review- bit.ly/2HA1T4O They say it'll come back soon. Basically, they were using a third party's technology and want to make their own.

Hi fantastic video are your sure about the storage being a 32gb because I am looking at mine I got a 64gb SD card looking at the local storage says SD card memory available is 64gb. It’s a shame they don’t sell wyze products in the United Kingdom people like me have to order them from amazon.com US because they deliver to the UK I have 2 Wyze Cam Pan 3 Wyze V2 plus 6 door sensors they have never let me down I can use them with Alexa and google assistant not like Reolink Argus 2 I am having problems with they work with google they meant to work with Alexa when I ask Alexa show me the front Door then says waiting for Reolink them she responds saying Camera isn’t responding

Hi Giovanni, The camera is compatible with 8, 16 or 32 FB micro-SD cards (says it on the Amazon description). That's odd that it says memory available is 64 GB! Twice today, my power was deliberately turned off (I'm being harassed by ppl below me and has been getting worse being as management is related to these ppl) by the landlord/management (even the cops here are connected to these ppl and refuse to help).. I desperately needed this as it was within my budget, but because it works only on electricity for power, I of course don't have the footage needed. It also doesn't work at the window as I needed proof for legal aid as to who is vandalizing my car and porch decor.

Looking for simple camera setup to watch feral cats in their shelter Hi guy's, I am completely at lost with the amount of various cameras out there and what i would like to have if this is possible, is a wireless camera 1080 is enough for my need and i would like to have night vision since i don't want to bother the cats with light inside their shelter. My model is located at 80 feet from the shelter and i have no major obstruction like concrete or trees, there is only 2 drywall's between the shelter and the modem. Also a camera that will not sound an alarm in the shelter or at least one which i can disable the feature in the software. With this i need a camera where i can operate from a desktop computer since i don't have a cell phone and never will, i just want to watch the cat in the shelter and have no need for storage and no cloud subscription either, also i am looking for something affordable. That camera is made by Xiaomi and they make pretty good electronics.

I like your review however the two way audio is not true two way. It’s not true duplex. You have to speak and then wait to listen. The problem with this is you get a lot of dropped out audio from both sides and very slow communication. It’s not like talking on your cell phone where it’s true two way duplex, it’s a one-way audio unfortunately. The ring doorbell camera for example has true two-way duplex audio just like you are familiar with from talking on your phone. Unfortunately it’s technically one way audio in either direction

Hi thanks for your explanationm. To start, I don't have internet I can't afford it now. Seniors like me just want a simple camera/ record system to protect my 2 family from the destructive deadbeats and squatters here Brooklyn. I got three wyze cam plus the cam pan and it's useless for me cause I need internet. The cubes don't have sound. Dealing with deadbeat tenants and squatters causing all sorts of damage to my to family. New York is corrupt court systems before Corona and after is worse.. you say this is a simple system to understand. well I don't have the science capability to understand what's going on with the net. I don't have internet I just want a basic SIMPLE CCTV system that records on an SD card. This wyze pan got the features but it doesn't work without internet 8 notice. I have three cubes and one cam pan.. the cubes does not give sound. Yes it be nice to have internet just can't afford it. I just want a simple security system can you explain and review one for me and many of us one simple science thank you God bless you protect yourself all your loved ones doing this pandemic

If this cost 299 it would still be good value. Others cost 299 and don't have these features.

It doesn't have 6 LED sensors! It has 6 LEDs. These are used to IR-illuminate the field of view. No sensing is going on with the LEDs. The sensor is the camera image sensor itself.
