I definitely think these 2 genres compliment eachother very well. Concerts are quite similar, the music flows well. Just another way to expand the metal genre and spice it up.

If y’all really dig the metalstep genre, I HIGHLY recommend Sullivan King. He’s METAL asf with the blend of electronic elements

I love right before the second chorus when Noah screams "THIS IS A MOSH CALL" That's gotta be gnarly live with tons of bass

It’s a different genre I think the drop is sick and that’s an extremely tame one, Kayzo is a dj but he does his own stuff, that type of stuff is not for evreyone I don’t blame you

This song doesn’t leave a good representation of what kind of music Kayzo does! React to Kayzo battle drums. That’s heavier 🤘🏻

These guys are easily my favorite people to watch! His how to videos have helped me SO MUCH with my foot work and tempo's! Thank you both for everything you do!

It's much easier for an EDM fan to start enjoying Metal than the other way around. Also looking at EDM artists switching up their music, their fans are not coming at them for switching it up, unlike most heavy artists.

Kayzo has done a song with of mice and men and one with atreyu, 2 good songs in this style

That first drop is so amazing, from the intense heavy metal to the sudden transition to the chill low power beat is so good. I was pleasantly surprised the first time.

Kayzo has a whole album with people like Matty Mullins, Kyle Pavone, Underoath, OM&M, etc.

I listen to almost every genre, I like both dubstep and metal, but I have to say this didn't mix very well imo. I think if there was some guitar work and maybe a breakdown I would've really liked it. But the drops were only dubstep so I was kind've bumbed.

Saw this live at Edc this past weekend. The crowd went nuts on the first drop. It’s just something you have to see live.

Kayzo is sick live! He brought out Papa Roach for his remix of Last Resort, and he's also brought out Sum 41, Of Mice & Men, Atreyu, etc. during his live performances too. He incorporates a lot of other genres into his music. You guys should check out Sullivan King, he infuses metal with EDM a lot more than Kayzo, and actually plays his guitar live during his DJ performances. He's insanely talented! Sick live as well!

"Suffocate" is the first Kayzo collab that's really grabbed me. I have to agree with Lindsay in that I find myself wanting more integration between the electronic and metal genres, which is why I think he was really onto something during the intro and at 4:20. Those gave me major Celldweller vibes, and I consider Celldweller a master at integrating metal and electronic (check out "Switchback" if you haven't yet heard that iconic track).

Man as someone who doesn't really listen to dubstep I've been blasting this is my car on repeat for the past 3 days

You should react to poppy, but kayzo also did some other tracks with metal artists, most notable underoath, atreyu, blessthefall and of mice and men

I genuinely thought this was really cool actually, I like both genres and artists, and tbh I thought it mixed really really well. The going back and forth between the two styles was nice.

If you guys want to check out some more of this electronic/metal combinations, be sure to check out Celldweller. Breaking point, a matter of time, my disintegration and into the void are some of his more recent songs and all awesome!

Kayzo has done shit with Of Mice & Men, Our Last Night, Matty Mullins of Memphis May Fire, Alex Gaskarth of All Time Low, and a bunch of others. All of the songs he's done with the bands listed above are in his latest album entitled Unleashed released last year. He also did one with Atreyu before this song with Bad Omens.

It was a great song in my opinion... great mix and wasn't upset with the kayzo mix. Bad omens never let's us down and is always evolving.Let's goo 🤘👍🎧

I am with Wyatt too on that one. I think the drop was bonkers. Dubstep is typicially not the genre I listen to. But as far as I know thats what dubstep is. The drop is most of the time more of a breakdown to very minimalistic bass heavy noises. It had the suprise effect and I definitely liked it. Cheers!

The drop is excellent. From a song writing perspective, having all those transients in your face, just to be sucked into a blackhole of 808 that creates a dramatic transfer of dynamics from the high end of the soundscape to the low end. Personally, I approve.

Yeah, in the Bass Music Scene, there's a whole phase going on right now called Freeform Bass. Basically a Bass Trap beat and weird basses for the drop. It IS out of the ordinary for Kayzo to make something like that, but I assume he's trying to experiment with it a bit. So Kayzo is a hardcore guy at heart but happens to make dubstep but a ton of his music is influenced by bands from the scene. I def recommend checking out some of his other tracks, this isnt one of his best but the majority of his tracks are complete bangers. He has a ton of bands he's worked with and is doing a cool thing within the scene as I saw him actually on tour with Our Last Night and I See Stars last year.

Well that was interesting, I liked the Bad Omens parts. I think you have to get warmed up on the electronic parts, didn't enjoy them on the first listen

This song was definitely not my thing but dethrone, holy shit!

I do feel like the drop was left a little too open if you know what I mean. a bit empty in a way where they could have done more but the rapid notes/sounds (Idunno how to describe music) in the first drop I thought was cool I just wish there was more going on in the background but every other part of it I loved from vocals to the screams cut in during the drop so over all I quite liked it but damn the ending got me I WISH they just added even this tiny 1 second super heavy part with a scream and then just cutting it off. I also got some Mick Gordon DOOM vibes from 4:21 for a second which was sick

It wasn't a heavy dubstep drop, but I'm sure another artist will remix it to be heavier. It had potential with bad omens and the second drop but it needed to be heavier. Your techno comment and dubstep being metal of the electronic side of things comment are spot on lol

I feel like it's cool to see the genre meshing but I think it was just the aggressive contrast between the drop and everything else that didn't quite work for me
