This was actually recorded in 2019 and is about a virus in Hong Kong and is not about Covid19, Oli talked about it in an interview. They delayed the release of the song when Covid19 hit because it felt like the wrong timing before they changed their mind and released it anyway.

Bruh this is why bring me the horizon been around for over a decade and still blowing up than all the other bands . They know how to make music and experiment perfectly! Give them a Grammy

@@ashelfishisttortle To clarify: The Bulgarian singing is in the intro to the song. The pre-chorus is the spoken lyrics leading into ''This is a war", then the chorus of Oli singing "It's a parasite eve"

Bring me the Horizon will be looked at as pioneers when all is said and done. The transition this band has gone through is some of the most versatile and creative transitions I've ever seen. Oli is easily in my top 5 for metal front men. The whole band is fantastic. Can't wait for the next album.

Thats the Spirit was the last one i really liked overall, but they've definitely released songs on Amo and Music to Listen To that were super creative. Sempiternal was arguably one of the best metalcore albums in the history of the genre, and it would have been super easy for them to just copy that formula over and over and rode that train to the bank. I have major respect for them deciding it's their band and they'll make what they want to make

Oli confirmed its part of a new project called Post Human. It was a bit confusing but it sounds like it's album length but split into 4 different EPs.

Very creative, we must realize, we live in the tighest music era, cos music is very small workplace, if u are not be careful u can plagiarizing some music, but bmth with oli and Jordan always find a way to make something fresh with mixing all over good, weird tune to a great, catchy music, that's all about taste, experience, preference, and brain work, they have the formula, and always step ahead everything elses

They are. No other band has changed their style this much and still managed to stay this relevant and loved. They kept experimenting. They have such a unique sound going right now... with ludens and this. Oli is extremely talented... being able to bring so many styles together and still managing to make it sound this good. Loved Parasite Eve... I can tell that they put an aweful lot of effort into it.

Well it was written about another virus that came out before corona that had similar traits. It was delayed release cause of blm which made it more covid prominent

That pre chorus is ridiculous, sends chills throughout my body. Specifically the second one with that deep bass strumming. Perfection!

The choir sound like Bulgarian folklore. I am very happy to see them using traditional music from my country. The song itself is amazing, and thank you for your reaction!

This felt like a mix of nihilist blues and can you feel my heart. I absolutely loved it. Been watching all the teasers and i wasnt disappointed.

I listened to the premiere on bbc radio one which was maybe half an hour before the youtube premiere and they played it 3 times!! And Oliver was talking about the whole process. Loved it all over.
