WWII veteran's long lost honors rediscovered in Texas

Private First Class Henry Wiese, buried in Kurten Cemetery for nearly 80 years, is being honored anew as his WWII legacy resurfaces. Recently found documents, including a Purple Heart and a letter from President Franklin D. Roosevelt, highlight his sacrifice and service.

    Where in the world have these documents been for the past 80 years? I've watched this video 4 times to make sure I didn't miss anything. No explanation is given on where the documents have been for 80 years. Anyone know the answer?
