We had an opportunity to travel throughout France in 2010 with our son as he performed with Chester County Voices Abroad. One of our stops was at the American Cemetery in Normandy. While participating in the retiring of the flag ceremony at the end of the day, we were introduced to a D-Day survivor, John Hildebrand who happened to be visiting the cemetery that day.
