Looked like the first rat had a dead eye. No reflection in the left eye at all. Not sure if that was the one that accepted the Shawn Woods relocation plan or not.

ISTM that there has been an increase in native deer mice (and wood rats, I guess) being caught recently, and fewer non-native "humane dispatches"-and their accompanying wildlife appearances. I wonder if Shawn's efforts have been affecting the population balance there.

@@Rdr2449 Um, no? His videos will just not be monetized if he shows the deaths on-screen, so he either finds some way to hide the action, or converts the traps to live capture. Then if the rodent captured is a non-native species he humanely "dispatches" them off-screen (with CO₂, AIUI) and feeds the carcasses to wildlife. And if it's native he hauls it out into the wild and releases it, like today. I am simply pointing out that I have seen much more of the latter recently than the former. The ratio of native to non-native species seems to be changing in his neck of the woods. Almost like he's managed to kill off most of the non-native rodents. Unless you have heard somthing about policy changes that I haven't. But I watch every video, and he has never said anything to my knowledge.

Smitty? Sheeeeeeyit, my gramps was in the European theater back in WWII and was known as Smitty. I doubt it's the same guy, though. as for the K Ration, that most often contained a strip of toilet paper, a few cigarettes, some matches to light the cigarettes, a meal, a drink, usually coffee, and a Hershey candy bar that the soldiers would usually hand out to local children who more than likely never had chocolate until that time.

Ahh! Giant one-sided rat! To quote the Lovecraftian Burniston video, "There's an unnameable, unimaginable thing in my basement ": "The size? It's cyclopian in scale; immeasurably huge to the point where if you saw the whole thing at once you'd be driven instantly insane. It's hard to get a grasp of the actual size, what with all the non-Euclidean geometry flying around in that basement, so I want it punted."
