To the people that keep saying did he steal or or they stole it? 1. You need to watch the full episode for the full contents of everything to actually understand what happened. 2. It wasn’t stolen it was left on the airplane and was put in lost and found for 90 days and no one claimed it therefore the airplane guy who found it was able to keep it after 90 days. 3. The guy who had it all these years decided to sell it on eBay recently for 10,000 because someone in his family passed away and he needed the money to pay for a funeral (as Triple H put it he sold it for much less than it’s actually worth) 4. The guy who bought it from the guy who owned it originally on eBay basically didn’t want to show his face for the “publicity” and so he had a stand in negotiate for him however he continuously broke the agreement that they originally had for the deal trying to maximize the value of it as much as possible because they knew Ric Flair and WWE wanted it. Hope this clear thinks up...

Heyman & Ross obviously were only informed of the news that very second at the same time as the rest of the fans, tallent and personal. Unfortunately, as much as we would love for Flair to get it back for free since it was stolen and it was his property, the police won't do anything as the statue of limitations in Tennessee (where the robe was stolen) for theft is a maximum 15 years, leaving the robe 10 years past the maximum limitations. Sadly that means the robe is now legally the new owners property.

Imagine how much dough he could’ve made if he was doing this in the mid to late 90s, and he was getting paid by very a very flush with cash WWE, WCW, and ECW. He does very well for himself now, but just imagine what he could’ve done in the prime of wrestling. Holy smokes. It would’ve been a lot harder given the state of kayfabe back then, but he could’ve been groundbreaking in that arena as well.

This was always the "Titan Robe" or "WWF Robe" to me & my wrestling dork friends in the 90's. It was the robe he seemed to wear most on TV and to me the black & silver look made it the most badass. WWE could've cut the owner/recipient of stolen property a check for $100 grand without batting an eye but they figure "it's in the family" now. Conrad buys it "for Ric", then later on when Flair passes (hope it's 30 years from now) WWE can put the squeeze on Thompson, "Donate it to the Flair wing of the HOF building", etc. If Conrad balks they either offer him huge dough or more likely send their lawyers after him with some convoluted excuse it's there's anyway.
