Lesnar's SSP botch also happened because his target was too far away from the corner. He had to put so much force into distance that he under-rotated.

Also, a case of Tombstone Pile Driver where the head of the opponent is tucked between the knees and a sit out pile driver (the banned one) leaves their head really close to point of impact.

@@nitinmathew5391 That HBK vs Undertake sit out piledriver was all the way back in 1998. WWE has been kinda picky/choosy on who gets to do what moves, though, as it was 2 veteran wrestlers in the ring when Kevin Hart nearly paralyzed Stone Cold for life.

Michael McCool can do the Facebreaker safely because she’s tall and the opponents head won’t be as close to the mat as it would with AJ Styles, that’s also why Styles needs his opponent to not tuck their chin because that’s how close to the mat the head is

I didn't see a problem with her move. I mean it is an inverted windows peak that Beth Pheonix used(Beth opponent was facing away Michelle was facing her).

That punt kick really is a nasty looking moves I’ve ever seen Randy do to anyone. It’s a good reason why they banned this move.

Goldberg being old and gassed was the reason he botched his own finishing move and yet Vince decided to ban a completely different move because of it. The Brainbuster sounds bad but it’s really just a suplex that has the opponent land on their shoulders and upper back rather then their whole back.

It really blows that a guy like Owen Hart was the one who caused the Austin injury. Consumate professional, guy who ended up giving his life to this, one of the safest in-ring workers of all time... and he's the dude that shortened the greatest wrestler of all time's career. Just gets at me a little bit.

The fact it took the WWE years to realize that smacking someone in THEIR HEAD with a chair. Is incredibly unsafe and can cause permanent brain damage is astonishing to me.

It's not that it took WWE years to realize that. It took medicine years of research and evidence to realize how dangerous damage to the head over a period of time can be.

Remember, after the final Smackdown of 2023 on December 29, you're gonna upload a video of every return in WWE which includes, Titus O'Neil, Erick Rowan, even Braun Strowman. Soon, Randy Orton & maybe CM Punk will be part of this years WWE returns just like The Rock & John Cena.

They can end up having moves banned for a short amount of time and it would make sense as to why Itami ended up with that weird Codebreaker type version through the rest of his 205 Live run but kept the name.

Ironically, Joe had used this finisher in WWE, because his other finisher package piledriver was banned😅

Razors Edge move was banned in the 90's. It looked awesome, but a very fine line between life altering injuries and a move.

I pretty much consider Tombstone Piledriver a different move entirely from a sit down piledriver or a standard piledriver the biggest difference in it is the performer giving it is the one at most risk for injuries with the Tombstone and not the other performer taking it

punt kick & the 450 splash, are my favorites tbh.

The wings of love part was hilarious there like its too powerful n then right after shes laughing doing her new way more ruthless move 😂😂

I always thought growing up that the Chairs weren't actual chairs, but were made to be more frail so the chair shots looked like they hurt. I also thought that a lot of the time, the Wrestlers got their hands up to make the sound more impactful.

The Buckle Bomb got banned because Nia botched it. If you banned moves because she botched it, you could get every moved banned. Surprised that they didn't make the Banzai Drop banned with how she did it to Rhea. It was also weird if that's why Itami stopped using the GTS. Punk can still use it after breaking Snitsky's nose i think it was but Hideo couldn't after having a similar issue. Its one of those things that has to go into consideration of if a move should be banned, what the risks are and if they're ways that it could be prevented or if it's just an issue with that wrestler like the Shooting Star Press from Kidman. Could Brock have reheased the spot by doing an intense training match then pull the move out on a trampoline ring, does the wrestler need more training on the move or be able to do a closer version with less energy, etc.

Angelwings is effectively a safer Dangerous Driver. So is the Pedigree. HHH's Pedigree started as a Dangerous Driver, and changed it for safety reasons. I wouldn't be surprised if he got angry a woman was using a better version of his move. Muscle Buster actually comes from the Manga/Anime Kinnikuman/Ultimate Muscle and is also famously used by King in Tekken. You don't see it used in real life much because it takes a lot of strength and it is not easy to balance and hold someone that way and also control it. It is hard to make safe. The version Joe uses is already safer than the original move, where you would drop down on your own ass and cause your opponent's neck to drive into your shoulder with full weight; instead he falls backward and puts most of the weight on the opponent's back and shoulders.

I hate to be pedantic, but Reks never used the actual Burning Hammer. They copied the name, but his was a safer Argentine DDT, where the opponent is fully flipped and takes a front bump. The Burning Hammer (in its actual execution) is banned, and the only time I can recall it being performed was in the cruiserweight classic.

Banning a move after multiple accidents come from it is completely understandable; especially if multiple people perform it and have accidents because you then have proof that the move is the problem and not a single person who performs it. Banning a move because it's extremely dangerous/risky is understandable as well. Banning a move because it looks dangerous/risky but really isn't is really stupid though. The point of a wrestling move, especially a finisher, is to do a lot of damage; that in mind, you're going to ban a move because it looks like it does a lot of damage? Really? Especially when it is actually safe. That's just stupid. Also, banning a move after one single accident is stupid. Are they going to ban the clothesline because Kofi Kingston injured CM Punk with it once? I feel like every wrestling move has injured at least someone at some point. Are you going to ban every single move because they've all injured someone at some point?

The chair-shot to the head was banned because that move made Chris murder his family. El-stupid-oh.

Not really. The dozens of concussions he sustained over his career caused that. And many of those caused by his finisher: The Diving Headbutt.

You could see randy realize he messed up when put his hand to his head then took them down fast to continue the act

I never see any wrestler perform The People's Elbow anymore, is it got banned ? That move is so dangerous and can affect not just wrestler but even the fans. I can get traumatized if I ever saw that move again

Frankly, unprotected chair shots SHOULD be banned. Especially to the head. Those lightbulb matches should be banned, I was there when some "hardcore" dude, cut his artheries and nearly bled to death, and actually experienced a clinical death. Then he asked fans for money to pay for medical bills and... spend the money on crack cocaine and heroin. I believe it was Raver X, it was a Chicago show in 2019. Marko Stunted Growth also was there, knocked himself out and got carried out on the stretcher. But I was there for GANGREL and Ophidian. Gangrel had a match with Pockets the Dog, and annihilated him. LOVED IT. There was a great tag time "Violence Inc" too. But yeah, that lightbulb spot nearly got deadly.
