i love this game. in my view, this is the best Wrestling game ever

The controls are simple because that's how they were intended to be. This game is geared towards the old school wrestling fan/gamer who remember wrestling games of old. I've played the demo and I'll take this over SvR'09 any day. This is supposed to be an arcade-style wrestler, not a simulation. With that in mind, I think they succeeded in spades! I'm 31 and have played systems dating back to the old Colecovision and I've watched wrestling since '84. Simplicity + nostalgia.= winning combo!

Royal rumble seems to be much better than SVRs RR. The gameplay itself looks better from this camera angle than the one in 1vs1 matches

I have to say that THQ and Yukes are doing a fantastic job with this game. I love the format and presentation of the Royal Rumble. It's gross in SVR games, but it looks damn realistic and polished here. With cool camera shots, more than one pathetic, unrealistic way to eliminate people, etc. The only thing I want to know is when you are in that position where you are hanging on to the ropes, and you get kicked and eliminated. How do you save yourself from that? Do you have to guess what button?

I'm very impressed I hope SVR 2010 can deliver with all these new animations and hard work on Legends of WrestleMania. P.S. Savage and Vince Bury whatever your damn problem is. Tito Santana , Rick Martel, IRS, Barry Windham, and Demolition for next year please THQ.

Looks like the match itself is improved quite a bit and the game looks good. Sure there are some oddities like DiBiase's little spin kick, and some commentary errors, but overall looks nice.

You are right man, but how about some from mid 90's too like Razor Ramon, Owen Hart, Goldust, Diesel, Sid, Luger, ahh so many. Also tag teams like the bushwackers, the british bulldogs, Dx, Smoking gunns. Divas too like Ms. Elizabeth, Sherri, Sunni and Sable.

I wish a wrestling game would allow more wrestlers in a royal rumble. Get rid of the health bars, and make the wrestler stance different, depending where hes hurt, and you can tell when he's weak, instead of a health bar. They keep selling the same product slightly tweaked each year. Most of which you could of been done with patches, expansions they could sell. DLC could include new wrestlers, storylines for story career mode, new match types. It could all be done with DLC instead of a new game

the commentary, graphics and the game looks great i hope to hell they do this for SVR...plz THQ and Yuke's

iv played the demo, controls take a while to get used to but is a fun game as it is interactive during the moves

Yeah fair point, I've only had 2-3 matches on the demo so hardly enough time to get used to it. Honestly I prefer the simple style of TNA though. I guess a few moves in a match to win is more like what wrestling used to be like and a lot less technical than it is now.

I actually find this game wayyyy more complicated than the smackdown ones. Just take a look at the control list and its about 13 pages long! Just doing a certain move such as running, climbing the turnbuckle or picking up a weapon took me quite a while figure out.

I only really like the relive mode in this game but the Rumbles actually a little more fun in this game than Smackdown vs. RAW to ME. Just because these superstars know ho to survive in this match. The COM in SvR gets eliminated in like 5 mins.
