Dom flipped off the whole front row which is why they faded to black for a few minutes. Apparently someone said they can't show those gestures on Australian TV. Plus Cody challenging the Rock to a singles match were surprises for me.

@makaveli4205 The attitude era was the best. Austin fans defied authority, Rock fans were cocky, arrogant, Bret fans were 360 the other way with family first and family values, Undertaker fans rooted for chaos and sat back until it happened with their popcorn. I was a Taker fan. Waited for everything to develop and picked our fights.

Predictability is important for some events. If you make crazy unexpected things happen too much they lose their impact. It's also important to keep some resemblance to real combat sports, favorites win more than underdogs and that makes it so that when you get a cool underdog story it becomes memorable.

  • @tonyg76

There's so much focus on entrances and finishes that we forget about the meat of the match. Even if its predictable, it matters how they get to the result. Real storytelling will always take place in the ring.

Catch wrestling is basically British strong style wrestling, which is : Catch wrestling techniques may include, but are not limited to: the arm bar, Japanese arm bar, straight arm bar, hammerlock, bar hammerlock, wrist lock, top wrist lock, double wrist lock (this hold is also known as the Kimura in MMA, or the reverse Ude-Garami in judo), coil lock (this hold is also known as an Omoplata in MMA), head scissors, body scissors, chest lock, abdominal lock, abdominal stretch, leg lock, knee bar, ankle lock, heel hook, toe hold, half Nelson, and full Nelson. thus the name New Catch Republic. they are bringing British strong style to WWE once again. aka: William Regal.

I think if the Tag team titles are going to be replaced by new unified titles, it is probably going to happen at or a day after Wrestlemania 40 because they would want do like a big reveal which would make sense to happen at their biggest PLE or the RAW after it. Also, at the time of the TKO deal there was a rumor about 3-man tag titles being introduced which might just make sense with all the factions present at this time in WWE. So, the undisputed tag titles being combined might just lead to that.

TBH, I feel similar to you about Liv. I mean, she's very young and she's still on the rise. There's no doubt that she will be a champion again. The thing is, when you look at Rhea's run as champion, she's done it all. She's beaten everyone that has challenged her, and she's stood head and shoulders above everyone else in the Women's Division for almost a full year now. She's not only THE ACE of WWE's Women's Division, she's one of WWE's biggest stars right now, regardless of gender, and she furthered her dominance by defeating Nia, the one superstar that seemed to poise the biggest threat to her reign since she's been booked as the absolute monster heel that she is. With that in mind, who's the one female star on RAW capable of dethroning her? Well, that's Becky. For around a year and a half, she was the top star in WWE, and when she came back after giving birth, she quickly became the top villain in the company. Now, she's in the veteran position, which was showcased throughout 2023: she wants to put people over (Zoey, Tiffany, Lyra, Tegan and Xia are examples). Which triggers the question: Can Becky get it done once again? Can "The Man" hit the Big Time one more time? Will Rhea beat Becky to solidify herself as the undisputed female ace of WWE? That's where the money is at right now, and it furthers the Women's World Championship as THE top female title since you're having the former ace and the current ace fight for that championship. As far as Liv goes, the feud with Rhea goes beyond championships: it's personal, it's about revenge, it's almost as if Liv doesn't care about the title right now. She wants to hurt Rhea for putting her out of action for 8 months, and it's even more personal because they were friends and tag team partners. But with the emphasis being the whole revenge thing, it makes the title feel secondary. That's why the match at Wrestlemania has to be Becky vs Rhea. It's the top story if you compare the two arcs.

Some things are predictable because of how much they need to happen. I liked it, they delivered what they needed to, even if we saw it coming. The stories were told well. Yes, the wins and losses were predictable, but wins and losses don't make the show. I loved AJ Styles costing LA Knight. Didn't see it coming, yet it makes sense. Funny you gave this an 8.5, I honestly said to myself today I give it an 8.5 or so. It felt like a throwaway PLE, but it was designed to be and should have been. Loved seeing Rhea get her flowers at home. Glad they put the tag match in the kickoff show. Makes for a nice lead-in when the kickoff show actually has wrestling on it, and made the PLE a little heavier in matches. One of the things I don't like about wrestling in the last few decades is monthly PLE's, so I'm fine with a predictable throwaway designed to just further the stories heading into WrestleMania.

Any wrestling show that is over 4 hours long and has 55 mins of literally nothing happening besides video packages and commercials is something that not many people will find acceptable if they paid money for it in most parts of the world. Then you also have the Grayson Waller Effect which is people just talking in the ring for over 20 mins without a match connected to it. If you dissect the structure of this show then you can come to the conclusion that WWE just gave the people in Perth a longer special episode of Raw that had two Chamber matches. It had a very long talking segment, it had only 5 matches, it had almost an hour of nothing happening, it had not many title matches and Roman wasn't there even though he's not injured

They’re not doing anything with Becky and Rhea, light teases with 0 build isn’t a real story

Thank you! The Becky push was totally out of left field. There were so many options that would've actually made sense

Rhea vs Becky was touted for Wrestlemania 40 the week after last years Wrestlemania. They have been kept apart for a reason. They now have 6 weeks to build it. More than Rhea usually gets.

this is my thing tho quit giving becky or somebody else a chance over nd over and over again like let somebody else have a chance at the womans championship like liv has worked her butt off to get to rhea and still they have becky winning and going over rhea.

I don't think Rhea loses. But this is Wrestlemania 40 and Becky Lynch is their top babyface so it makes sense.

Super predictable with you complaining about people complaining on line. That's becoming super predictable.
