With how the graphics are matched up and how gameplay is the same, WWE2K is mostly likely not going to stop with last gen. Think about when ps4 was the next gen and ps3 was the old gen you could see a major difference in the graphics and gameplay, but now with ps5 being the next-gen and ps4 being the old-gen, you can't see a difference.

I tell people all the time that the ps4 still has juice left. Just by lookin at the 2020 releases. Even the RE4 remake looked incredible. There was no real NEED for the ps5. The 4 still looks amazing

Last gen ain't "holding up", they're holding back.

Only significant difference is the frame rate (in mult-men matches) and the load time. No real graphical difference. It's basically a port over

Thing is the PC version is the last gen version essentially and the load times are as fast as the PS5 and the frame rate is doubled far as I can tell tho there really isn't any discernable differences apart from performance

Right because I had the hundred dollar copy that come with the disk and they digital version of the PS4 copy I sold my PS5 disk copy and play the PS4 digital look the same to me

Not going to lie last gen graphics is still up to par next gen really brings out the bloom in it

No it's not. You say that because 2K still is catering for last gen. Look at WW2K15. That's what you call a graphical jump from WWE2K14 because 2K stopped catering for last gen. If anything, last gen is holding current gen consoles back.

Great video. I downloaded both versions and played mostly the ps5 version this week. I booted up the ps4 version out of curiosity and could not tell the difference besides the colored button prompts on screen. The load times and frame rate differences are subtle but consistent. The difference comes in when there’s more onscreen to render like the multi man matches. Very clear difference between the two.

IMO, Sports games need to stop releasing yearly games. Back in the day they had to because the technology wasn’t where it is now, so they COULD improve every year. NOW, the room for improvement is slim to none. They need to support one game for years like Destiny. But I know y they won’t do that, money.

Yeah I think they’re identical, but the load times made the ps5 a non brainier for me. They’re kinda close but that extra 10 seconds or so will really add up over a typical play through

I assume that if you play the ps4 version on ps5 it should have stable 60fps?

I hope some time next year they can stop supporting last gen and release a main base game and stop the yearly releases. They can learn from the service model and update every 6 months or so w paid dlc and events. A guy can dream. The annual model is so out of date. They can probably make more money with a live service update system. Not make money from whatever my myfaction

I have a ps5 and ps4. When a game is available on ps4 that's the direction I go because it's cheaper and I'm not seeing a difference. Honestly if it wasn't for the wife I'd just bought the Xbox series x but she begged for a ps5 🤦‍♂️

Man ive had a ps5 since launch whencthey were impossible to get and aside from ray tracing and a couple of fidelity options with some games. The jump from ps4 to ps5 really only feels it has an impact with games offering performance modes with 60fps that you wouldnt get on ps4. Aside from that it feels like this generation of console has the smallest of improvements when you look at what ps1 to ps2, then to ps3 and even ps4 looked like graohically with each generation. Its near identical from ps4 to ps5 for 90% of things makes me regret my decision as theres hardly any reason to have a ps5 as the ps4 still will be getting support for years to come

I Think 24 is the last year for ps4 games they usually stop supporting last gen 4 years or so after next gen is released, like in 2013 when ps4, xb1 they supported many ps3/360 games till 2017 that’s why u can find wwe and nba 2k madden games still releasing for ps3/360 in 2017 after that last gen was cut off, no doubt this is the last year for ps4 games as wwe seems to be the last game coming out for ps4 this year I don’t see any other big games cross gen coming this year

Well...graphically the PS4 still looks great...PS2 had games from SVR 07 to 2011 back in the day...that's 5 games after the release of Xbox 360 and PS3 generation...kept going for 5 years...all of them were fun...so PS4 might as well get the game up to 2K25 or 2K26...looking at how many PS4s were sold...and the console is still available new and alot more affordable than the PS5...they should keep going with WWE and other sports titles on last gen...it's sport titles after all
