It's about time that wwe just start giving access to the whole library of themes instead of just putting themes in the game. It would be nice to create someone like Gangrel for instance and be able to search his theme to use.

I remember in SVR 2011 they had a lot of amazing stories I really wish 2K would bring that back for 2K23 but don’t think it’s gonna happen

I personally would love create a story to return and for my Gm it should be like how SVR 2006 2007 and 2008 was as in picking the names of the rivalry etc. and more stuff in universe mode with new cutscenes and promos etc.

I’m hoping they put significant work into universe mode. A variety of cutscenes and stories to make. Heck, even use the draft mechanic like in MyGM except with more money. Also I think the new mode will be either create a story or something involving creative options like eras. What do you guys think?

@@Zay0010 universe needs an overhaul. It's bugged to death & have repetitive storylines. Hopefully they make the people in the Division fight for spots instead of like the main 2 or 3 people in said division. Survivor Series (matches for adding to a survivor Series team) Royal Rumble(matches for rumble #) WrestleMania build ups. Fix hit detection & fix the broken submission system. Fix the grapple control to where the B or circle button actually moves faster and they also need to stop freezing your reversals. The game claims it got rid of limited reversals but all they did was hide the reversal bars it's been plenty of matches of where my reversals we're cut off like I couldn't reverse after a certain amount of time. 🤦🏾

Universe Mode shouldn't deal with any money. I agreed that The Universe Mode needs a Draft. We should choose our own GMs in Universe

I would like them to combine mygm and universe modes. Create a story would go great for that. It could run like my league on their NBA games

I hope they give us multiple camera views to choose from during matches. Sports games and most games in general give you all sorts of different camera views and those different views are so important because everybody has a different style they like.

They could bring back "Road to Hall of Fame" as a new mode from 2k19

They started create a story in svr 2011 and I think it would be awesome for 2k to include that mode and maybe incorporate it with universe mode making universe mode more like a TV show and the idea of having stories that people can download would be awesome

Create a story in WWE 2k14 was so much fun. Between that and create a move, that's all I did on that game lol

I’d be happy if they combined Universe Mode with GM mode but I want all of the universe stuff. I don’t want to have to deal with budgets and contracts that only last a short amount of time. Dealing with contracts is fine, I just felt in MyGM it was too limiting and came up all of the time. They can add it in, I’d just want to be able to turn it off or adjust it. I don’t want the GM part to interrupt what I’d like to do in Universe

That's the biggest I wish I wanted since 2K19. If they do bring it back, they should let use custom attires into the storyline.

Custom ref and custom crowds are amazing features, they have never been used in any 2K games before

I think they could put universe, gm, and create a story into one mode, and it would make it feel smoother.

i ask one only thing. Give me the possibility during an universe mode to have a world that change, the wrestler can get older and retire, and then have a new fresh rookie

I'd make an amazing Rock-Roman story if it does return

Like, if you look at Create a Video, they already have tons of cutscenes that you can swap who's in them and the arena they can take place. They can easily grab those cutscenes and the MyRise cutscenes and build a Create a Story with it.

I definitely want them to but I’m not to sure if they will but if they did that would add way more replay value especially with cc

you should be able to see star ratings after simming and be able to assign gms to brands in universe mode. Rebrand it as career mode and have the option to be a viewer (normal universe mode), a gm, I think being a manager would be cool too and obviously a superstar

I just hope we can get Advanced Custom Entrances back again

Universe should have different setting similar to RollerCoaster Tycoon. One version is a sandbox with unlimited cash where you just do everything you want. Then you can also have a career/challenge setting where everything you do costs money and needs a well planned budget.

I hope they bring back shows and ppv that you can put together in exhibition mode like it use to have on the first 2k and Wrestlemania 2000! Cause having to build a show just takes to long. All you had to do back then was pick what show you wanted and how many matches and set the matches up and play. Now you gotta build the show download it then do everything. It takes to long.

Combine them into 1. This year had 2 ways to play universe. Sandbox or control 1 player. Add a third as control a gm. Could be multiplayer online as well.

Manager Mode. Pick a superstar and help them win and assist them in promos, cheat, choose who to feud with, or let them turn on you.

i feel as if it would be a mixture of create a story and tower, where you have a story and the matches in between work as savepoints on the tower

Can we get road to Wrestlemania back with a great storyline and dialogue from Superstars? Like that’s all I ask for 2k to do!

Facts a great story mode would be great

Universe online.. with a show ranking based on fans and views.. could be incredible is done correctly and attached to community creations

I can see where you are coming from with GM and Universe being 1 collective mode, but I feel that would lose the purpose of the modes unless they include very specific settings to customize your experience in the combined mode. GM mode is about competition and beating the other brand(s), whereas Universe provides an immersive sandbox experience. The 2 modes have different purposes and I think it would be best if left separate. Thanks for the content, looking forward to your future videos!

i agree i think gm an universe mode should be left alone and be separarte, me personally i dont like gm mode and dealing with money and drafting im a huge fan of regular classsic universe sandbox mode. If they merge i hope they give us option to still be able to play classic sandbox universe mode cuase the the main reason i buy 2k wrestlin games is for classic sandbox universe mode. So do you think we will be able to still play the regular classic way or willl they put money and drafting involved?

Not gonna lie, create a story may actually lure me back to the series.

I really think like with the towers is make the challenges have unlockables like extra attires or models for characters, VC as normal and just other legands, and like you said combine it with my faction

But also if the did a hybrid between universe mode,my gm and creat a story would be a great new mode for Wwe2k

2k needs to simply things. Have a full my GM MODE where you can customise everything. Bring back SEASON MODE, so its not just one wrestler being showcased. 2 main modes. Then there be no need for UNIVERSE MODE and SHOWCASE MODE . If 2k did that, then they can concentrate on game quality and A DECENT ROSTER.

i like the idea of create a story because if they allowed for any kind of scenario right be it somebody loses a match and they are a heel than the heel can beat up the face put them in there submission than another part of the story could entail another outsider looking in could go up to the face character and have an interaction with them checking in on them or another could be setting up a faction because there tired of being pushed around the options are limitless when it comes to that mode

Universe Mode has been virtually untouched for several years (with the exception of last year that added superstar mode). They are doing the fans a huge disservice by not giving us something big this year to tie everything together. Like you said combining Universe Mode and My GM to create the ultimate sandbox Mode should be the bear minimum. Open creativity features such as setting up rivalries with cutscenes, and or custom promos would be the spinkles on top to make this year a solid foundation to build off of. If they can do that I can see greatness similar to the era of SmackDown vs Raw 2011 - WWE 2K14. I hope they can pull it off

putting gm mode and universe mode together would be a terrible idea. GM mode is a mode based on resource management which makes it limited. Universe mode is supposed to be an unlimited sandbox where we create our own shows and do whatever we want with no limit to money, contracts, etc. i don't understand why people think these modes are so similar that they should be fused into one. i'd imagine it's people who don't like or care about universe much.

Technically week get a weekly tower in MyFaction. Also I thought about this a lot, the new mode could be Wargames, not just the match but the arena. What I mean is you could do the WarGames match or you could do almost all of the different match types with the two rings, the main exclusions being Chamber and HIAC.

Here's what I'm thinking it could be. 1. A complete brand new mode that we never seen. 2. Either war games plus arena. 3. Special Guest referee 4. Or something like beat The Undertaker streak.

I want the same same story design as before with a lot more cut scenes. But just like gm mode, they would probably limit the crap out of the mode

to Matt/Assemble= I can't help but WHOLEHEARTEDLY agree with your stance on the merging of "My GM" and "Universe Mode"... and may I add the benefit for Visual Concepts themselves in meaning less for them to have to work with and less disk/memory space to use up, which would mean more positive results with less effort thus maximizing their profit margins while refreshing things a bit for the player base! a stroke of genius which I legit wonder how it hasn't occurred to them in the past few years! and then there's the matter of... you guessed it= bringing back advanced crafting options for created entrances! couldn't finish my comment without bringing that up, LOL!

as far as seeing any game modes that were to ever return, i would love to see either GM mode or Road to Wrestlemania

It is weird that GM mode and Universe mode weren't just one thing last year. It should just be one thing. We also need a lot more match types. Bring back old school matches.

I would love to see a showcase that purely focused on the ruthless aggression Era. I'll be more than happy though if they make great improvements and strides in enhancing universe and myrise.

You know what would help too, even If minor detail: having more than 5 models for audience members, with the same clothes and doing gestures at the same time

I remember when create a wrestler was a lot more fun back in the day because I didn't have limitations that say you can't do this with your Superstar. I mean seriously there's so many limitations nowadays. You want to have creative freedom to make your Superstars hiossen go to 100 overall. No, only Roman can do that. Oh, you want to add this layer to your clothes. You can't do that. You have to delete this. It's only create a super start up to the point when the game tells you what you can't create what you can. I miss the old days in the 64 where you had no limit. Back then, creating a wrestler actually meant your creation, not a sanitized version of it where you can't do certain things.

It would be really cool if they had enough superstars from enough eras to be able to personalize your experience/aesthetic or what Era you'd like to manage in gm mode. Burn in my light Orton, rapper cena, prototype cena, Matt Bloom and all 3 of his personas A-Train, Albert, and Tensai. Ron Killings for R-Truth, the list goes on. Can't have it complete though since we'd have modern day commentators, because Taz and JR are in AEW. 😒

Just PLEASE FOCUS ALL IN ON UNIVERSE MODE!!!

Say bro something came to my mind and not much for what I wanna see in WWE 2K23. Do you think the WWE Superstars need their actually own voices in the game whenever taking or delievering moves or smash through tables,ladders and chairs? That will be so cool.

I think bare bones is fine for new modes in their first back. You can keep building off them in subsequent games. My issue is getting rid of them after one game or even a few games. Just keep them and build upon them. Even if you don't want to build upon them, just keep it in....unless it's a shitty mode.

I would love MYGM and Universe merging but only if I can turn off money and budgets if I want to. Sometimes I want to do anything I want as opposed to having to do the competition of MyGm. But elements of both involved for sure

Is there a such thing as a "new" game mode in these games these days. Like you mentioned things are taken out only to be put back in as "new".

I personally would be thrilled with Create a Story coming back, or rather a version of it, and quite frankly it wouldn't need to be as involved as the mode was before for it to still be wicked fun. I'd love to see Create a Showcase, where you pick the Superstar/Superstars that will be focused on, set up the matches to play, set cut scenes within those matches for the player to trigger based on damage, location, time etc. during said matches, and pretty much mirror what WWE games already has going on with their Showcase Mode. This is what I'd like to see most as it pertains to a new mode in the game.

I think that there's been enough KZread content creators over the years making custom Showcase Modes as far back as WWE 2K15, that the interest for a mode like this is quite high. It doesn't need to be as involved as Create a Story in which there would be more of a chance of the game crashing like in past games, with WWE 2K14 being the most effectively operating one of the bunch (and my all time favorite Wrestling game for this and a number of other reasons.)

Hopefully we’ll be able to use custom videos with our custom arenas.

They need to really WORK on this game. I'm tired of playing Universe Mode and having to keep restarting the career!

If they are doing create a story they should make it have a option to do coop so I can play through stories with friends

They already have a towers mode in Myfaction. It's all I play it's called weekly towers. But I am wanting them to add in Daily Towers Monthly Towers PPV Towers. Just add more towers in and MyFaction will be a little better

For match type maybe we will have Wargames and Fight pit. And for game mode maybe Create a story i really hope so.

Create story not enough without lot backstage brawl area like SVR 2011. SVR we can brawl different area like, parking lot, locker room, vip or manager room, restaurant, plaza.

I did the create a story more than I did the actual wrestling part of the game. Even though it didn’t look like it had a lot of depth the ability to remove characters from a scene and change the angle allowed for thousands of different variations of a scene.

If they bring back towers, i can definitely see it as a mode in MyFaction

Tbh I wish they would have create a story war games updated survivor series to 5 man and be able to do a 20 person battle royal

I wish they would get rid of the whole My Rise/My career stuff and bring back an actual Season mode like the old games had I just want to pick a wrestler from the roster like say AJ styles and play through a season with him and let me use caws as well. Create a story was huge in 2k14 it would make this game much more popular it should have never been removed to begin with they should just add it into universe mode.
