Anyone else catch that Sami Zayn is his current form with the Zayn tape and not his bloodline version?? Crazy if they were willing to make such a last minute change for accuracy but I’m happy about it!

I think the menu is mostly a re-skinned version of 2k22 which is actually great. The biggest change I’ve seen so far is the layout when choosing match types in exhibition mode.

I appreciate that they used Xia Li’s blue attire as her character select and being part of the main menu.

I noticed that same people that have been confirmed in the game like Bruno Sammartino and Ezekiel aren't in the selection screen. So, they are probably unlockable through MyRise and Showcase.

I had a thought. I wonder if Ezekiel is an alternate attire of Elias, as this video didn't show alternate attires. Maybe 2K figured that, since you never see Elias and his brother Ezekiel on TV together, it would be more realistic to have it be Elias's alternate attire.

Feedback - the ADVANCED sliders look they give us massive control over how the game feels. However, there are no descriptions actually explaining what each of those means. Really hope 2K can either patch in a description of what each slider does, OR link us to a webpage with the information.

Love this. Loving how when you go to a match screen it shows you the arena on the side so you can actually see what it looks like

2001 Kane should be easily 94-95 overall.

I like how it shows the arena you're playing in when selecting the match that's a cool new feature

Those new sliders are what are gunna make the gameplay amazing this year between certain wrestlers

I really dig the roster this year. Along with the unlockables in the showcase.

I really dig the advanced pin/submission options. It will help elongate matches.

Can't help but notice a few missing things. I figured like last year that the showcase unlockables wouldn't show up in the menus beforehand, but I've also taken notice that Ezekiel and the 2002-2005 Raw arena aren't here despite Ezekiel being listed on their roster page and the 2002 Raw arena being in the background of the Stone Cold screenshots they released a month or two ago (it's not the same arena as the one listed as Raw 2005 in the game, the one from the screenshots had an elevated ramp and the older side pieces next to the stage rather than the scaffolding with the rectangular trons on it). I wonder if they'll be potentially unlockable via MyRise this year or something, similar to how the King of the Ring arena was last year

I feel like they cut a lot of stuff… I don’t see Undertaker 01-02, I don’t see Triple H 01-02 or at least 08, I’m sure I saw 08 version somewhere 🤔 lots of content is missing… I’m afraid they cut characters for that card mode again like they did for 2022

I like how clean everything looks, but that being said, there's definitely a few awkward-looking things-such as the arena-select menu being so wide and compressed when you've got so much space on the right side of the screen, coupled with it being navigated via triggers rather than a scroll bar.

I love how colorful the menu is. Definitely one of the best wrestling game menus ever.

The best feature is the fact that we can actually edit the tendencies of superstars when wrestling. I'm tired of being against Omos and other super heavyweights climbing on the top rope and hitting elbow drops

I really like the look of this game honestly… from the graphics to the menus… it’s all impressed me, I just hope that Universe Mode has had a good overhaul/update but I have a feeling it’ll literally just be a new option to choose cutscenes etc… hopefully that is enough to give us more control

I love the Clash at the Castle arena! It's looks sooooo real

Damn, those titantrons playing in the background is a very cool detail, i liked it. Sadly there are not so many arenas... Probably they expect the community to make them.

The advanced gameplay option is what I'm looking for.

I know from screenshots that Sami's got his Knoxville feud attire, but seeing his updated render is great.

So happy to see all they new custom stuff for the arenas and gear. The menu is so lit. I love it.🎉

Looks great! With the AI sliders I might even play universe mode this year. But with that being said I can't wait for tomorrow to see MyRise. Will it be a trailer or will they just put info up so as not to spoil anything?

You can tweak the settings for pins and submissions. Yes! This seems like this can give me a chance to make “Epic” matches like 2K14. I want my matches longer.

Oh that advanced options. I can't wait to test that out. Thats a whole other level.

Unless Strong is in as a manager (demoted from playable wrestler to manager) due to the fact he was mentoring Diamond Mine and rarely wrestled at that time. We don't know the 2K23 managers as the manager list wasn't shown so that is where Strong and Sanga if they are in 2K23 anywhere are likely to be. So far we only know that Scarlett and Paul Heyman are in 2K23 and from the unlockables that Bobby Heenan, Triple H (Manager) and Eric Bischoff are in 2K23 as managers too along with B-Fab being in 2K23 as a DLC manager. It is still disappointing that Strong isn't playable in 2K23.

Only things missing I'm bummed about is no WCW TV Title and no different selections for ring attires. They continue to have 3X different Kevin Nash, 2X Hogan's, Rey Mysterio Ect... When it could be just 1 and you can change the attire. Also would benefit when you download different attires for wrestlers in Community Creations

Why they do not add new match types? Something like mixed gender match, casket match, burried alive, I quit match, inferno match etc.. Why wouldn't they also add new backstage arenas that you can wrestle full match on it without it ending in KO! Also no new weapons.. little additions like these make the game much more fun to play!

@@SteelSpurs It would give people more of a reason to play MyRise, similar to how before certain stars were only unlockable through MyCareer, albeit now the Supercharger doesn't grant you any MyRise stuff, but I feel like we have a lot more stuff to be nitpicking about than how to unlock Bruno Sammartino, an addition that was already questionable at best.

I'm super stoked we're still getting the '97 Eddie Guerrero, both Kane's masked and unmasked and 2005 HBK. We've basically got all the top stars of 2002 in this game (Stone Cold, Booker T, Lesnar, Rock, Triple H, HBK, Cena, Orton, The Nwo with X-Pac) so that portion of my universe is already good to go without community creations.

I’m glad we got a KOTR arena but it’s just the graphics in the raw and Smackdown arena

Kinda hoped that the Money in the Back could be cashed on any active title along all brands, like theory hinted at cashing on Bron Breaker for the NXT, heck even cashed it on the US Title, and Liv coming from Raw cashing it on Rhonda for the Smackdown Womans title

No Special Ref, Casket, I Quit, Inferno, Gauntlet, Tag Gauntlet, Amublance, 3 Stages of Hell...I guess I'll be waiting for the discount in July when Bray is released. I'm disappointed...

10:17 Those settings could make this the best Wrestling game of all time. One of the problems with even the old games like Here Comes the Pain was that they were too easy vs the cpu. This will give WWE 2K23 tremendous replay value. I’m mind blown.

@@SteelSpurs “First Count Lock” set to ON is definitely a game changer. You can see it at the 10:18 mark. You can basically play WWE 2K22 right now as if you had “first count lock” set to ON by not allowing yourself to ever kick out at One and see how many matches you lose this way. Well you would have to play with the pin meter mini-game not the button mash.

Is Create an Image new??

Well, the only thing that I have noticed here is that the game is officially featuring a Performance Center Championship belt from last year's women's MyRise mode. Can't wait to do a tournament with that championship.

Maybe they'll put in regular Zelina Vega, like how they gave us both King Nakamura and Shinsuke Nakamura in the last game (also King Corbin & Happy Corbin, as well as King Booker & Booker-T.). Wait... That's the recent Sami Zayn image! So, it's not gonna be Bloodline Sami? Whoa... Will it be possible to add Solo to The Bloodline team? Same with Dom & Judgement Day? I know in the last game some teams made it impossible to add/remove members.

Wow... they dropped the Big Gold Heavyweight title from the game? The NWO versions are.. well NWO versions. Thankfully we have creations tho Edit: Nvm...they removed the world title creation parts from CAC also :( what the hell man? Are WWE planning to bring back the big Gold or remove it from existence?

Point here that any MyRise or Showcase unlockable is not unlocked with the SuperCharger. The SuperCharger only unlocks the VC Purchasables. Basically anything in the store

That match has been shown on tv just recently with kurt angle on the anniversary of raw like last month right? We are literally paying 60 for just two new things one match type and a different showcase. They could of added more to make it feel like a new fresh game

May I inquire why 2k continues to offer us a rudimentary version of the WCW Nitro arena? Personally, I found the arena more appealing when it displayed the Nitro logo on the mat. Furthermore, would it be possible to include the WCW Thunder arena from '98 as part of the Universe mode? I believe it would be a fantastic addition to the game.
