I can't bothered unlocking these characters. Feels like I already did so in WWE 13 & 2K14. It'd be nice to get 03-08 versions of Edge, Chris Jericho, Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Randy Orton, Christian, Brock Lesnar, Kane, Undertaker, etc. We've been restricted to JUST 80s, 90s and Attitude Era for too long. I'm tired of this...

2K17 on last gen imo has a better menu than on PS4 and Xbox One. (ignore the random superstars showing up) Also, it's funny to note that Mikey Whipwreck was one of the first to have a render like on 2K17.

Last gen still has more match types. That's at least one thing 2K gives them. No reason why the gameplay should be the same every year though. You could hire a bunch of interns to implement new gameplay mechanics in the last gen version.... come on 2K.

On last gen, you have to do special objectives to the the characters, for example: you have to win 90 matches to unlock Andre the Giant

Its looks pretty much the same even tho it has better matches and maybe menu layout you still gotta move on sometimes near the future current gen will catch up and at that point it might be the end of last gen.

It's funny scrolling through the comments and seeing everyone trying to justify their reason for not upgrading by defending this game on last gen. Why don't you save all that money you waste on last gen ports to buy a new console that'll blow your out dated piece of shit out the water?

well to answer your question: no, old gen does have a bit more match types but next gen has way more stuff to do and its got crowd fighting, breakout feature etc.. so you should play next gen if you do have the next gen consoles, but the last gen is still decent

I'm waiting for the pc version with the free dlc in March.

WWE 2k17 was my first wrestling game on current gen and I fucking regret it. Last gen has more match types, the match rules option, some character models look better(judging by some gameplay videos, not in the character selection menu), I'm assuming custom music for created wrestlers is still there, character selection is much better, the NXT DLC is available now and I'm assuming the Universe mode is not broken like in current gen version.

RoryCooper2 you're not supposed to edit it I guess. I played a few weeks with only editing promos and it worked but when you edit matches it like re adds the one you took out. I dislike that feature it should be patched out

last gen have MIX GENDER TAG!!!

Just traded in the ps4 version and about to get it on PS3 instead, there's no way I'm gonna carry on playing it on ps4 if I can't leave it in rest mode on the menu without it deleting my save which had over 150 matches played with most wrestlers unlocked and 4 hours of career, don't care how "bad" PS3 is at least it works, looks like new isn't always what's best, pathetic

its fucking time for 2k had guy to come and to apologize to the next generation gamers for their constancy of lies when they give us water down match types instead of more when people play over a hundred dollars for this game to only get one new match type and for the last gens to get more , i fucking hope 2k gives the next gen an update with theses missing match types or a discount on the rest of the dlc its bullshit and it needs to stop because enough is enough and its time for a change. the last gens should of gotten the watered down game and the next gens should of gotten all those match types thats best for business and fair

@@hunte5748 my cousin had the Xbox one version and I'd play by him all the time meanwhile I had the 360 version. Honestly the Xbox one version was a lazy entry, not as lazy as 2k15 where you couldn't even create women, but it lacked fun game modes which ended up being what we personally grew tired of in that age and plethora of other games. I got the PC version of either this or 2k18 and it was amazing with mods. I can't fully remember, but if this is the one with HHH v HBK and Cena v Punk showcase, PC and 360 were way better
