Not to mention what so much content was lost from creation mode. No custom, music,custom entrances, and some of the tools that were used in previous game, but not in this one. I was so dissapointed in this.

Here comes the pain is just plain out boring now. My char is 100 on overall, im all champions on raw besides the womens and I play on the smackdown difficulty and they're just to damn easy..... it's a bad gam err

That's cause they weren't finished with the game and they delayed next gen to finish it. They originally was going to release it in April but didn't want fans to wait..so this is the game we got which is still good

WWE 2K15 on next gen is one HUGE step forward! But then sadly 2 steps backwards with lack of modes/creation

Bought this yesterday... here's my review: Pros: Looks amazing Cons: Lack of in-depth customization options, only 25 slots available, no create-an-arena, no create-a-finisher, no create-a-story, no create-a-logo. Lack of story in MyCareer mode. If Here Comes The Pain and Shut Your Mouth can deliver excellent story modes for your create-a-wrestler 12/11 years ago, then why can't they do it in 2014? Answer: 2K Games have no idea how to develop a WWE game. Gameplay: Slow, methodical, boring, tie-ups make no sense, can't perform half of the moves you set your character, facelock, moves from behind, moves from the side, limb targeting, nothing fucking works as the controls don't make any sense. Create-a-wrestler, very limited from what it was. A small amount of customization options, NO DIVA creation suite, hair options on create-a-wrestler are 17, give or take, from the past year's 2K14 50 or so. Clothes are bare bones and limited, logos have been removed entirely giving you a small pre-set amount, like 15 or so. ------- If this is the direction 2K Games are taking WWE Games in general, they need to give the rights to another company ASAP because a lot of the fans that enjoyed the game before will be turned off if they purchase this pile of shit for $60. Hell, I think the 360/PS3 version of WWE 2K15 is the superior version and that's saying something considering we're on the oh-so-mighty Next-Gen now, that apparently can't fucking deliver half of what made the WWE games on last-gen so damn good.

I think a 6.5 would be a bit more accurate considering no one mentioned there aren't any online lobbies, just a matchmaking search that feels like it's from 2003 where you can't select a different superstar or match type each time. You have a priority list you pick your favorite wrestler and match time so nearly every time you're playing as the same person and same match. SVR 2007 had such a great debut on the 360 with improved graphics and ADDED features, gameplay mechanics, and game modes yet all media games are lackluster and feel half done. What a shame. By the way SVR 2006 & 2007 are a much more fun and rewarding experience. I might just dig those out and play them again.

Damn CM Punk was probably the greatest thing to happen to WWE in a long time. I miss that guy :( Haven't played a wrestling game since SvR 2009. This looks alright. Not a fan of the 2K career modes though. Might get this used. Does the crowd chant along with the pin count?

My biggest issue with 2k15 is the lack of customisation options while creating your own wwe superstar, I have played the wwe games from a very young age and I've always put a lot of time and effort into my characters and is by far what I've loved most about previous wwe games .... Looks like somebody at WWE came up with the bribe money for this IGN review....there is no way anyone who is honest and in-depthly looked at this game could rate 2k15 (PS4/Xbox 1) a whole 7/10....that's just way too high for ALL the (and i'll list them): Removed features, Removed match types, Very small Superstar & Diva roster, No Diva creation (with Edit-A-Diva being a complete joke), Limited Create-a-Superstar Mode, The complete removal of the rest of the Creation Suite (create-an-arena, create-an-entrance, create-a-title, create-a-finisher), Only 25 CAW creation slots (editing superstars & Divas in the game takes up a whole slot) No custom music despite mp3 support being fixed before the game's release (no reason for it to be removed in last gen either since last gen ALREADY supports mp3) Over priced DLC ($30 for Paige & Emma so you can have 10 instead of 8 Divas.....$30 for 2 Divas...Ridiculous!), Very bad online gameplay & servers, A really bad idea of having to rank-up in order to upload and download more logos and created Superstar CAWS online and waiting a full 24 hours in order to do so again, Super slow paced gameplay. If this game got this rating because of the shiny new graphics.....(spend 20 minutes playing this game.....your eyes will adjust and those shiny new graphics aren't so shiny anymore) and career mode which was also lack luster and is only 10 hours of gameplay and extremely repetitive, then 7/10 is definitely too high. I can not see this game keeping anyone interested in playing it for a whole year up till WWE 2k16's release. Good for 2 to 3 months (if so much) and will be laid to rest to catch dust while the person occupies themselves with another game. I say this because ALL of the features that add REPLAY-VALUE to the game have been removed.....the Creation Suite. Sure there is DLC....but you shouldn't have to depend on the DLC to keep you coming back to the game....what ever is on the disc should be able to suffice as well...but in this case, it doesn't. After you've completed career mode & showcase mode....what else is there left for you to do with the game.....you can't create anything much, no arenas, no Divas, no championship belts, no create an entrance, no create-a-finisher.....the "come back and play more" value of this game is gone after you have completed the showcases (DLC included) and career mode. To me...last gen (PS3 & Xbox 360) in comparison to WWE2k15 new gen is the better game....but even that version deserved the low score of 5.9.

Not really limited, but you don't have to constantly chain grapple to perform a move.

For 2k16, They better bring back everything they removed from 2k14. EVERYTHING! The Easter Egg custom entrances (Sabu, Tazz, Tommy Dreamer, Bobby Lashly, etc), ALL removed match types (Inferno, Match Creator, War Games Chamber, etc), Create a Arena, Create a story, Create a Championship, Create a Diva. Do this, and the fandom will likely not give up on the series .

One thing I hate about this game is when my guy takes forever to get onto the top rope And by the time he gets up there, my opponent is already on his feet and he throws me off of the top rope. I never got to do Adrian Neville's Red Arrow.

a thing happened in my wwe 2k15 so i can only play as cm punk, john cena, triple h, daniel brayn,randy orton and the undertaker. Also i can only play a normal 1 on 1 match nothing else. So does anyone know what i need to do?

So Assassins Creed was a flop, CODAW had a great story but that was it, GTA V wasn't that much better and now WWE 2K15 is lacking in so much. Makes me wonder sometimes smh did games suffer this much when Xbox 360 and PS3 first came out or arew developers really confused and getting used to the new softwares

After all these years We got custom wrestlers, custom movesets, new game modes, we can run in any direction, and weapon interaction has gotten better. Can we get Superstar vs Diva matches again? Also, replays after doing high impact moves? Also, more crowd reactions. If a heel does something like taunt, pin, or hit with a weapon, they put hands over their mouths to boo, or they put thumbs down. If a face does something, they put hands up to cheer or they jump up.

Would've thought it would get a 8 or 7.5 is it that bad?

Can someone please help me? I just picked up the game yesterday for the XB1 and I have it installed and everything. But every time I play a match in any mode it seems during the whole match like every 5 seconds my game will skip a frame or pause for a split second and it's really annoying. It never happens during animations just during game play! Any ideas?

Just make sure background matchmaking is on my pressing r3 and it will search matches for you in the background

One thing I've always hated about the WWE games is the WrestleMania Arenas. WM is the biggest PPV in WWE, always being held in huge stadiums filling 70,000+ people. So why is it that on the game, the WM arena is literally the same size as a Raw, Smackdown, or any other PPV arena? It's possible to add bigger stadiums in these game because 2k Sports does the same thing with MLB, NFL, etc. so why not do it with the WWE games? I feel it would make it much more realistic, enjoyable, and make the WM arenas actually worth playing. Hopefully they add this in the next game, but I highly doubt it. Anyone else agree?

i wish the custom career mode was like day of reckoning on the gamacube, i remember playing it nonstop, even some of the first smackdown vs raws had great story modes that you would use your custom wrestler and for me that was the most fun and the only reason i would pick up a wrestling game

Not gonna lie I bought this game for XB1 2 days ago and by this game and as a die hard wrestling fan it's phenomenal in terms of gameplay if you really look at how wrestling looks today. The 1080p 60fps graphics look amazing and keep the realism of the entire game. The animation and superstar sells for each move are realistic than it's ever been WELL DONE 2k

wwe raw vs smackdown 2007 and below that was the best wwe games after that....I cant explain

I find that with 2k games on Ps4/Xbox One, 2k thinks the updated graphics make up for sub-par game modes and gameplay

Do yourselves a favor people, save your money for WWE 2K16. This is pretty much the same thing they did with the 1st current gen entry into the NBA2K series. They gutted NBA2K14, but added all of the things they removed in improved, up to standard renditions in 2K15. I predict the same will the case here. This is the 1st version of the game I'm NOT buying, but I will buy next years game, because it'll have all of the stuff this year doesn't.

***** You miss read what I said. NBA2K15 is leaps and bounds better then 2K14, it's WWE2K14 that has more then 2K15. WWE2K15 is pretty much a place holder game. Buy NBA and wait for WWE2K16.

I can't access the accelerator

i expected this game to be quite barebones, considering its their first next gen one, and they've worked most of the game from the ground up, i trust that 2k will be looking at the criticism to guide them for next years game, still going to pick this up as I've played 2k13 to death. although the review didn't mention the overhaul on superstar threads and bringing your own images into the game which is meant to be great. but yeah i think 2k did a great job on this for the 1st proper 2K Next gen wwe game! :D

I like it soo far, my career I've just started playing but haven't played showcase yet but all and all its better than last year n years before

2K15 is making a positive turn to move forward. The exclusion of all of that other stuff is fine for now. They are simply trying to retool everything and this is a stepping stone. The DLC will have many legends coming so I am highly anticipated for having Macho King, Sid Vicious and others as playable characters!

Them removing so many customization options on top of the shrinked roster and lack of 6 - human playable matches on PS4 was a major bummer. I might buy it later when it drops down into the $25-30 range, so then I can get the season pass. Cause IMO it's not worth the $60 on launch PLUS the extra $20 for the dlc.

What would have helped is them adding maybe 2-3 more showcase storylines. 2 was not enough for how good it is.

I don't know. The new menu screens look kind of ugly to me. Almost as if it is the beta version of the game and the screens are just place holders.

Remember when it was a PS exclusive franchise? It died going multiplat. 06 was the last really good one.

It's understandable that half the game modes are gone because they are working with a new engine. If they delayed it until early 2015 then they might have gotten in more game types and wrestlers.

Was it too difficult to just give us the combat and modes from 2k14 with better graphics? I don't like the health bar addition. And the missing modes are let down. And seriously? Ambrose hasn't used his shield intro in like 6 months.....Same with Rollins, Why do they both still use the their shield gear? And why do they both still have the old music. Laziness...that's why. Only Laziness could screw up the 2 biggest stars in the WWE.

They need to bring back the Streak mode but this time real authentic streak related matches and 31 years of wrestlemania with real objectives

I haven't watched wrestling on TV in maybe 15 years but I buy these games year after year.....they're so fucking fun

To all of those complaining about the cut modes and cut creation content: 2K themselves have explained why the game does not have these modes. They said they were running short on time and were more concerned with providing a new experience with this game, improving the graphics, My Career, the gameplay and the regular creation suite. They have promised that they will try to put the modes not included in the next game.

2 big things for me I want a bigger roster, and I want more match types.

macho man and andre are going to be in some future dlc and if they weren't why in the hell wouldn't he just create them if he's complaining about it.

This is really just the beginning of what's going to be the best wrestling game since Here Comes The Pain. Mark my word two years from now it's going to be really good.

I think this game took a big hit when they removed game/creation modes...yeah the inferno match was kind of lame...but it was nice to have the option to throw one in a created story. The best thing going with simple exhibition matches was that you could edit every detail of the match you are having....not being able to create...say.. a tornado tag in a hell in the cell, submissions only match...when you were able to do it for the past few years is really a step back. We used to have games like WCW revenge that were awesome, but we'd always say..."I wish they could do a ladder match" and we all freaked out when the put those types of matches in the games...you can't give fans everything, then take it away and not expect them to be happy with just the new game engine and wrestler rendering. Having everything from past years might have got this game at least an 8.

Do what 343 studios did with halo, redo all the graphics and implement the old mechanics. Do the first smackdown vs raw or here comes the pain.

I want story mode with your created player like in smack down vs raw

I was almost...ALMOST going to get this game despite all of its lacking features but then I keep remembering that there's no custom music which normally wouldn't be a problem if it wasn't for this year's terrible soundtrack. If it had a soundtrack like SVR09 or SVR10 then i'd be pleased
