My great uncle is in this cemetery , Private Henry Shipley 5th row from the front and 6th along. He was only 18 years old and died on the 22 of august 1944 fighting with the Dorsetshire regament .

''THEY SHALL NOT GROW OLD''
"He'll always be 25" Dang, i am that same age, but they had to fight and kill with the never certain knowledge of returning, but only the driving will of protection for the family back home . Thank you, good men

As an American, I will always be inspired by the “stiff upper lip” of the British people.

Indeed, I am an American and cannot even begin to fathom the hell the Brits endured during the constant bombing from Germany in WW2. Of course having a man such as Winston Churchill certainly helped. To many, he was the glue that held the British people together during that time.
Will we ever see their like again 😢
Beautiful 👌👌👌
I had a chance to visit in 2017 on June 5th. It an was incredible experience.
why would anyone post a dislike is beyond me

Lest we forget.
What a man, I fear men like him don’t exist in Britain anymore, everyone nowadays to seem to want constant praise and attention for doing very little.
Thank You for what you & your British & Commonwealth comrades did to free Europe!Pity it's not appreciated in the EU!

Excuse me? How fucking dare you! Don’t ever speak for all of us. 90% of us know what the allies did to fucking free Europe. The European Union has prevent monstrosities like this, and Britain leaving it, because they want some feeling of power. I am half British/Dutch but how dare you say we don’t appreciate it!
