Many war declarations toward Germany happened before the reich fell. Americans proclaimed any country who declared on Germany before March 1st (I forgot the date) would be able to join the UN after the war.

@@pythonprogrammer6773 it was A surrender Seriously Italy never signed an alliance with Britain or the US They asked peace because they were tired of fighting after the bombs on their main cities and losing the colonies and Sicily It was Germany the one wich attacked Italy wich actually left the war (I don't blame the Germans anyway since Italy couldn't oppose the allied advance in the peninsula after being defited) I don't see how this process can be considered a change of team By this logic also France changed side because they surrended and a puppet government was estabilished Anyway even if the king instead of asking for peace actually dealed with the Allies about fighting Germany there was still the Italian Social Republic wich was a German puppet but a lot of Italians (mostly fascists) fought for it

@@casteddu6740 France never surrendered: They opposed resistance not as strong as Italy did, but yet they were doing resistance. Yet a puppet state is,in fact, a state that is recognised by its onwner and the international community, such as Vichy France. And Germany, actually, only dent more troops in Italy because Hitler were a bit suspicious Mussolini. In fact, the german army only invaded Italy AFTER they declared peace with the U.S. and Britain.
