The us built many types of guided weapons including some interesting ones where they be guided by pigeons. Japan had a few other guided weapons but most of the records were destroyed. France, Russia, Italy, used guided weapons but these were just prototypes from what I remember. If I’m missing anything else let me know and have a good day :)

The "siluro radioguidato" developed between 1932 and 1942 it was a torpedo that was dropped (in the test they used the sm79) and then guided for distance of 3.5km against the target, it had fluorescent trial to help the pilot guiding it. It was basically done by 1942, but wasn't mass produced or used in combat (from what I remember) Germans and allies expressed great interest on the project. Yeah, it would be cool. Another thing Italy (and Germany) could have is the Motobomba FFF, a sort of big torpedo that was air dropped and made huge spiral trajectories, it was use with some success during the war. But I think the priority should be to add the AP bomb on the reggiane (don't remember if it was the 2001 or 2002) it was used against a british carrier, but the one that hit didn't explode.

Not WWII era but 1920's Great Britain, The RAE Larynx which was a catapult launched early cruise missile based around a pilotless monoplane packed with explosive & controlled via radio. Fitted to the S class destroyers HMS Stronghold & HMS Thanet which replaced the fore cannon, This would be a great even ship for the brits & be equipped with maybe two refits as mods. Default as built: 3× 4", 1× 2pdr, 1× .303 MG, 4× 21" torpedoes, 2× 18" torpedoes, 4× mines. AShM refit:, 2× 4" the other equipment plus the missile. WWII refit: losing most armament keeping 1× 4", adding 1× 12pdr AA, some quad 12.7 mm HMG AA later replaced with 4× 20 mm Oerlikons, A bunch of depth charges.

Something that might help is to rebind the guidance for those missiles. I bound them to my arrow keys, which lets me maneuver my plane at the same time. Kinda helps to dodge incoming fire.

Downside is that its gun arcs are terrible and require pretty much a full-on broadside to do any meaningful damage with both your guns (and you are huge for what guns you have). Love its high speed torps tho.

Thanks for the great content. This younger version of I-GO is too weak against battleships and heavy cruisers. Perhaps it was worth taking it a lower br, 3.3-4.7. You can have some fun against armored ones if Gaijin adds an older version of the rocket. I-GO-1A weighed up to 1500 kg, the weight of the warhead was 800 kg. Its carrier was the Ki-67 already available in the game. Personally, I would have liked a view from an operator with binoculars for better control at a distance or a radio altimeter which was also tested on this version for protection against falling into water

You can use it against cruisers too, but battleships are too tough. And 800kg of tnt? Now that would be very deadly, holy cow.

I just always love how in Naval every single AI has VT shells and ships like the SKR-1 can just yeet your plane from over 8km away, or God forbid you get in close and come into range of an Pr. 206 and their laser accurate 30mm's. I mean, yeah planes can certainly be annoying in ground RB, but in Naval, they're really not that big of a deal, especially in realistic when they can't rearm mid-air and it's MUCH harder to fly them effectively in Naval when nearly every ship has AI controlled secondaries with timed or proximity fused shells that are extremely accurate. Gaijin has done SOMETHING with the AI recently to make them more deadly as up until recently, I had never seen an AI launch torpedo's. If they really want to encourage more people to play Naval, they need to up the rewards for killing AI ships to at least a near-equal level to player ships as the current rewards are just pathetic. It's not like you can "abuse" this to grind RP/SL off bots which is what Gaijin has always claimed to be afraid of, and in Naval, even AI can be deadly to you as they will frequently get lucky shots from 10+km away to 1 shot your battleship with a 100mm HE shell.

As you know the guns of the PR.206 are normally Radar guided, the skr ships Serie, skr-1 and skr-7, are bugged like hell unarmored and swallows he shells like an battleship and can ammorack destroyer but you cant Do it on her even when her turrets down to keel are fully red Just yesterday i had this in ec with my Taschkent vs an skr-1 i lost vs him because my Hits did no dmg and his He shells ripped me to pieces.

but I think you can change POV of guided missile while hold space at the same to control cruise missile

Hey, Betty. A little advice from MCLOS Man. Best way to hit the ammo rack on a battleship with the Japanese cruise missile is on a top-down approach. If you can hit the weather deck of the ship near the gun without hitting the gun itself, you have about a 50/50 chance of blowing out the whole ammo elevator, which should give you the ammo explosion chain reaction you want. Also, Naval EC might be a great place to test that out, since you'll have more time to work with and more distance. Remember, that missile can fly practically forever. I think it'd be pretty cool to see you pull off a 20km missile shot with an MCLOS cruise missile.

they should have made this function like the cherry blossoms did IRL. have it detach, activate, and then be able to be flown from a first person view into the target. can use the same control setups as the GRB UAV's, where you can switch back into the plane to steer a bit. that would at least make it both useful and fun, instead of just tedious

Very very good video. Love the twirling smoke trail as its gets closer to the target. I am curious now i saw a bit of your controls. Can you maybe share them or make a video? I mostly play on xbox but i can and wanna play more often on pc and i dont really like how some keys like scout or rader lock or bound.

Maybe I could show my keybind in one of the videos. Try to place them where's comfortable for you. I use radar on Q and E. One is to lock on target and another one to switch target.

What a splendid surprise at 1:10 pm grand stuff DOLLARplays. I feel as if the port side torpedo tubes would've been wiser for fighting those Porters over trying to train those starboard tubes on the PT-11 class vessel. Yeah African gulf can be great for small craft but at those BR's chances are high to either fight AI or player spawned Project 206 MTB's ntm AI's have cracked targeting of aircraft so OOF trying to do this.

13:54 in air rb the ai bombers have escorts that will fire missiles at you and dogfight you, but they are pretty bad and wont flare luckily

Are you able to use the ordinance view key (u default, I think) and control it at the same time? That might help with the steering

Could be unbalanced but i think the missile would be more fun and effective if you could stear it like a scout drone for example. It has a separate pilot so the plane could be orbiting nearby while we pilot the missile onto the target.

i like to say this is the only 2.3 with 2 manually controlled missiles

I do belive that they should change this to be something like the scout plane mechanic or the drone one, so instead of controlling it while flying the bomber you could just leave the bomber on auto pilot that would make this a viable weapon. Nontheless great video Dollar as always you are carrying the torch and brining light to Naval

I guess the missile is easier to steer from "bomb view"? Launch the missile, turn the aircraft away and use bomb view to navigate the missile into the target.
