This is a German 75mm (7.5 cm) KwK 40 Pz. IV Shell Case Base Battle Of The Bulge Relic that comes from a lake east of Bastogne, most likely from the Panzer Lehr Division. It appears to have exploded or have been damaged in some other way just leaving the base of the shell, though all details on the shells bottom still remains.
