I remember when nanchuan was about low stances and power. verbal ques were only with certain techniques. They were not banshee screams either. There was ti, wo, si. Depending on the technique. There were very few acrobatics or high jumps. (due to the origin of nanchuan) The techniques had actual purpose as most of this is just for show. Such a shame to degrade such a fine martial art.

Yeah a lot of martial arts have become like that, the other day I saw taekwondo mixed with dancing. But wushu is still impressive though :D

Nah, this is way better. It became a form of art performed by the body not just for a show

Why there is nunchuk in between of nanquan.. Bro its a diffrent style in traditional wushu nunchuk are still used but here they are showcasing modern wushu which include of main weapons and barehand styles which are choreographed by student with the key roots of traditional wushu so please stop saying its a shame or something cause having no knowledge is the real shame....

What's the name of the routine/form (or the routine the individual performances are based on) ?

This is Contemporary and Optional, which means each form is designed by the athlete and the coach to showcase their skill. I believe contemporary Nanquan is derived from the five southern families, as well as some more acrobatic movement to show athleticism.

What do you mean "to rough " , i know its considerd as more manly routine cause of the screams , and how much they jump or do other stuff but it doesn't mean its to rough for women , heck there's a even girls as young as eight can get a gold medal from this routine . There should be no borderline for women routines
