    Once Wurkkos puts a buck driver into the light, then you'll really see it compete head to head, and beat the Acebeam L19.2... That was the only thing holding this light back. The drop in output was so severe, especially compared to the Acebeam, that it rendered the TD01 to toy status. You wouldn't rely on this for work.... Can't wait until the buck driver release.

    Exactly. Put in a half-used battery and you get half the lumens, what a joke. I'm waiting on the buck version too, as long as it takes, or before other brands come up with a competition. Meanwhile I'm keep using my M21A 8A buck version.

    @@mr.frandy7692 A couple of bucks at most (LOL pun un-intended). I mean Convoy's M21A has option of 6A linear and 8A buck and the price difference is $2 bucks. Even the 6A linear is better than this FET crap.

    I know this is an old video, but a new fan here Cheule. I just wanted to mention here @ the 10:10 mark, how much a good battery plays a role and makes a real difference. I am sure you know that. I've just noticed with my favorite wurkkos lights, changing to something like the P42a or P45b brought a roughly 29% increase in measured light output! This was pretty close across the board in all of my newer energy-sucking lights. Anyway, really enjoying your videos. Thank you!

    Hey Cheule, will you review the Lumintop Mach 4695 v2? Looks like an absolute banger of a flashlight, apparently over 6000 lumen of sustain with that massive 32000 mAh battery..

    Thank you for your great and very useful reviews! I especially like when you include talk about tint and ANSI lumen, and small things that could be annoying with the lights as well. Do you think that this light can fit a protected XTAR battery? Does the included battery have some sort of fuse if there is a short circuit? I have many batteries from Sofirn but I have no idea if there is a fuse or something in there if something goes south with the lights. 😬

    I do think a longer than normal battery would fit because of the double springs. I wouldn’t worry about using unprotected cells, because the driver has thermal, polarity and current protections built in.

    @@cheule that sounds so awesome. It's such a beautiful and overbuilt flashlight. There are just not a lot of good quality videos on the tube that aren't 6-7 years old. As a side note that drone footage with the beam shots is 👌

    From what I learned Sofirn is the mother company and Wurkkos is the subsidiary (like Toyota and Lexus). Or at the very least Wurkkos designs the product and Sofirn manufactures it. Sofirn also is an OEM of a few brands out there.

    As I understand it, they are separate companies, Sofirn is just an OEM for Wurkkos and some driver designs are shared (and in some cases, design work contracted out in the first place). It's also interesting how they mostly have lights that don't directly compete with each other inside a certain specific niche.

  • @GeNGiM

    @GeNGiM

    @@WolfgirlReviews well it's pretty much how things are not only in Sofirn's case. Wurkkos first products were mostly diver's lights from what I saw and they might be very 'close' with Sofirn in some way. But I have to say, Wurkkos' designs feels more appealing than Sofirn's but that should not be weird since I think Sofirn's main business is to be an OEM (i.e. to avoid product line cannibalism between affiliates). Also Wurkkos and Sofirn are probably both in the same compound if not the same building - they even have the same zip code and district.

    It is a great light..and a steel for the price. I have the L19 2.0 sft40..and i do like the TD01 beam better..minus the ring..lol.. But build Acebeam is better..just the buttons areent the best on the Wurkkos, but there not bad...the rear is worse for me tho...mushy..but doesnt bother me for the price.
