Wurkkos TS22 Review - 4,500 lm Flashlight with Powerbank for Outdoor Enthusiasts
Hello KZread, Flashlight Enthusiast here! Wurkkos TS22 with XHP70.2 5000K surprised me positively - good, stabilized output, thermal performance on point, with smart features as a bonus. Highly recommended as a universal outdoor flashlight!

Thank you for this excellent review. You even mentioned the CRI at the end, which I was wondering about. 🙂 I'm also going for the XHP70.2 5000K version for the sustained lumens. I like floody beams with some throw so the TS22 is a good match. I heard it's not that pocketable for EDC, but I only intend to carry this in a bag or the car. I already have a Lumintop Tool AA as EDC (Nichia 219c emitter, 4000K CCT, 93 CRI which turbos to 500 lumens on a 14500 battery). But on some nights, especially in bad weather, I feel the need for extra lumens outdoors.
I watched quite a few video reviews on YT but I think it was this video which made me decide to buy my first Wurrkos light - the TS22 with the 5000K emitter. I didn't know much about the new generation of LED torches (my old ones are the Inova T2 and T3 from the mid 2000s) and had to take a crash course in learning the choice of the LED beads, reflector designs and the various kinds of lithium ion cells. 😀 I noticed that not all Wurkkos lights come in that nice smartphone box packaging. The cheaper models are packed in the old style boxes. while the "premium" models come in that white box with the magnetic flap. Sofirn also does the same. If I'm not mistaken the SC33 comes in the white box while the IF23 was sent to me in the generic Sofirn cardboard pack. From my personal findings, the TS22, FC13 and TD04 models have the purplish anti-reflective coating on their lens glass. I don't know if Sofirn bothers with AR treatment - not even their premium SC33 has AR coating.
GREAT review! So thorough and concise! Thank you! Clearly the Wurkkos won that battle!

That's right 👍
Just bought one of these for using at work. While the 4500 lumens is impressive, it’s the stable 500 lumens for over 5 hours which sold me to be honest, that and the nice floody beam anyway. It will suit me perfectly for searching around in loft spaces for water shutoff valves and things like that. I was nearly going to buy a Thrunite T2 which appears similar in specs but this Wurkkos sustains a higher light level in most modes and has a magnetic tail cap which again may come in useful for hands free work in confined spaces. Thanks for the detailed review with the runtime charts and CRI reading, it’s those that really confirmed to me that this was the right light for the job.

@@FlashlightEnthusiastI bought 2 Wurkkos TS22 flashlights recently but I am very disappointed to see that its magnetic tailcap is so weak that it can't even support its own weight when sticked horizontally. In my job, it is very important to use flashlight having magnetic tailcap. Now I regret spending total $84 on 2 TS22 flashlights.

@@Pritam043 I just tried mine, as long as it's on a nice flat metallic surface then it's got a pretty strong hold. If it's on a painted or slightly uneven surface then it definitely isn't as strong, there's no way it would hold horizontally off a screw head or nail, it's just too heavy for that. It suits my needs but I imagine there's better lights for others.

@@TheAndyMaanthanks for the update re: magnet strength. I think it also depends on the thickness of the metal you're attaching it to. The more iron, the stronger the attachment. I'm just about to order mine 🙂

Hi, Great review! Seems like what I need for my cycle riding. Like it to be bright! Question: Is the 5000K XHP70D HICRI version likely to be any better? I can pay a little more for that option!
I'm very happy with mine so far, thinking about buying another.
Great review. I have got this light and I love it. I just am wondering if that "upgraded" LED you got sent - is only sent out to reviewers? That would be pretty sneaky as it would improve performance? Can you please reply with your thoughts on that? Is that LED a lot more expensive, would it make much of a difference? Can I tell by looking into it which I have on mine?

I would highly encourage to check out their new offer with XHP70.3 Hi 90 CRI LED. wurkkos.com/products/powerful-flashlight-ts22-4500lm It would not only have slightly better beam and throw but is also labeled as 90 CRI ;)
Very well review. Does TS22 have one spring in front and other in rear to withstand downfall? Thank you for sharing the info

Good review. Could you measure how many amps of current draws from the battery this flashlight model in turbo mode when turned on and after 10 and 20 seconds? In my opinion, this is the best EDC 21700 flashlight with a power bank function and a wide angle of light for less than $40.

@@veciestlalucilaveciestlalu3157 zigzagy output means that the thermal regulation dims the light when flashlight get hot, but instead of stabilising it, brightens the light when the torch get cooler and do so over and over again in zigzag like manner. Attractive looking flashlight. The deal killer for me is the magnetic tailcap. I wear mechanical Swiss watches which don't like magnets. I've also wiped out credit/bank cards by putting magnetic items in my pockets.
