Thanks. I’m starting to shop for a new headlamp and have been thinking about getting a rechargeable one. I’ll look more into this one

That's a nice little light. You can get those batteries separately as well, Dan Becker did a video a few weeks ago with them, sorry no link, I think it was a different company though

Yes, the 14500 battery is fairly common on Amazon and Aliexpress. Thanks for commenting

Mark, thanks for the review. That is an interesting mount. I appreciate your posting the statistics in the video description for easy reference, but at this moment it is showing the 14500 specs twice instead of the 14500 and then the AA specs. It is a plus that the Wuben H5 has at least a rudimentary battery level indicator. I wish it had a neutral white tint choice available.

Thanks for noticing that. The website does not provide performance for a regular alkaline AA battery. Thanks for commenting

@@MarkYoungBushcraft You're welcome. Wuben does provide the AA info, using your link, then under "details" using an image of the tables. One can also download the manual from that same page, which has the info. I'd paste in the info, but the PDF manual does not seem to want to let me copy the data. Nice to have the option to choose the power source.

That's about as flexible as any I've ever seen. I like it. Someone put an incredible amount of really innovative work into that one. Edit: Putting a USB-C port on a battery was trick, especially while making it the same size as an AAA battery. That engineer gets an attaboy.

Your the first reviewer I ever watched that stated that the light was sent to you for review. I like that you stated that. That must be why other gear reviewers did most of their reviews. It drives me crazy when review channels do one after another light reviews. It's like every other video they post is a flashlight. It gets monotonous. I enjoy your videos.

Good rundown Mark - it’s very similar to the Olight perun i got a few years ago, but the plastic clip is a lot better than the Velcro patch I have for mine. The 90 degree light I thought would be a pain but is a great angle for lights. Worth a try for sure.

Most of the headlamps in my playlist can be mounted on a backpack strap as can any of the regular flashlights with right=angle heads. Thanks for commenting

Great video Mark, I really like the versatility and the size of the head strap. The only thing is that I like a red light option on my head lamps. I would more than likely just keep it in the mount and attach it to my pack straps or cap, as an extra hands free option. . Cheers my friend.

I am unable to test this but if it will work with lithium-ion and AA alkaline I would think it should work with NiMH batteries as well. Thanks for commenting
