    This looks much better than the Brovos X that I'd used in a guest house I had vacationed in some years ago. That machine used one third the water that this did and when the load was finished everything was in knots and one of my shirts was piled and ruined. I'm glad to see that they've improved upon this matter but as a former dry cleaner I'll stick with front loaders.

    Very nice! Looks and sounds similar to the GE impeller machine you posted. Except the GE has a longer wash arc and the recirculating water. Never could figure out why Whirlpool doesn't put that feature in these machines. It would help them clean better and soak clothes better, especially during lower water modes.

    Despite this only 1 Video here with the Whirlpool Washer WTW4915EW, out of curiosity, when & is there a possibility for you to do some more Videos of this Washer, especially if 1 of them were to be an Overload Test or so? I mean, it’d be nice to see some more Videos of this Washer on here 1 day, if you still have it that is. 🙂

    The unit looks like it does a half way decent job at turning over clothes. What cycle did you use on this load?

  • @kirkrivas8172

    @kirkrivas8172

    It was a deep water wash cycle with exta rinse and medium soil. In my opinion there was a decent amount of water for this type of washer to achieve a noticeable amount of turn over. I started a load on a normal cycle and noticed right away there was very little water and the clothes were rubbing directly on the impeller and roll over was less obvious. This machine is obsolete now and I hesitated on posting the video. I have a new version on order and will film it when it arrives.

    ***** Yeah, we have the current one in our store. We don't sell too much of it because the similar machine Kenmore 25132 usually beats it in terms of price... but hey, why not post it I'm sure someone is selling it at a garage sale and would love to see it in action. I think you did well. 🙂

    What are your thoughts on using this washer on a well water system? Will the washer work correctly?

  • @kirkrivas8172

    @kirkrivas8172

    I assume particulates will clog the inlet water valve on the washer. Speed Queen washers should work even if you have low water pressure due to blockage. Even the current digital control boards will still function correctly with low flow. Many of the other branded machines will through an error code if you have low water pressure, basically taking too long to fill the tub. I have no experience with well water setups.

    I enjoyed your video, it's helpful for those of us shopping around. Do you have the lid on during this video? I was wondering if you are able to add detergent after the water fills the basin.

  • @kirkrivas8172

    @kirkrivas8172

    The lid switch was tricked so that the machine thinks that the door is closed. The use and care guide says to add detergent prior to adding clothes. I don't think you can add soap after it fills because the machine is trying to maintain a calculated portion of water based on load size. Thanks to locking lids, many of us need to alter our washing habits.

    Wah, wah, wah, waaaaah!!!! I just couldn't help but crack myself up at the sounds of that motor during agitation, and the "agitation" itself! That drain pump is ridiculously slow when "pumping out the water and the clothes down the drain." The "braking system" on that is also pathetic, because what it does is energize the motor in the _opposite direction_ when the tub is still coasting down, and that just means another thing to break overtime! Why can't Whirlpool at least use a good old-school traditional braking mechanism that WORKS, and get rid of that lid lock? That's on DEEP FILL??? HAHA, wow! And that last agitation cycle, as well as the time it takes in total, says it all for this thing. The point is, more user-friendly features and China Pride parts and fancy electronics mean poor cleaning ability, less reliability and bigger costs for the buyer.

    Kirk Rivas, I like your videos but I don’t like this washer. I’ve had whirlpool direct and belt driven, they were great. This is no better than the 2018 speed queen. Shame on you whirlpool. The only good washer you make is the Amana. I just wish the Amana had a heavy duty motor and heavy duty belt etc. even so, when I am ready to buy it will still be the Amana.see whirlpool you can still make a good washer.
