One of the best matches of Timo in the last years i have seen. Dont dare to quit after the season. You are too good to play only senior competitions.

I watched Timo when I was in secondary school. He was the rising star, already challenging the most prestigious top players, gentle in manner but had the unique spiny attacking style, saving the balls from all angles. Now my son also goes to secondary school, it is quite amazing he has coped with all the changes in rules, balls, player styles and even his aging body.......and still play against the much younger top players like this. It is so .... moving.

One of the best matches I have seen. Similar dramatic to Dima vs. Ma Long in Olympics. Surprised about LJK mental game. Has greatly improved as to be seen in set 1 and 5. Two of my favorite players. I hoped it would be tight. I hoped Timo would win. But huge congrats to LJK. He did the right thing a few years ago. Changed from only focusing on backhand winners to improving forehand and switching between BH and FH more quickly. Fantastic play by both. Also loved the respect shown by both. Timo clearly has lots of fun playing. As long as you do, never quit. You are more than competing. You are the danger. 😂😂😂

LJK looks to have turned a mental corner with this match. May deceive though. Worth watching.

What a great match, respect to Timo at his 43 years age, resperto Liang so determined. We like mach like this, clean and very ornamental no hide serve.

With the game Timo has shown in the last few months he has real chance to play Olimpics

So far this must be the best match. Tight, roller-coaster scores that keep you on the edge of your seat. Well worth repeat watching. Timo is incredible at his age, gentle genius born to play respectable table tennis. Both played very well. Congrats and best wishes to both from Australia.

I replayed the match at least 5 times

Liang rushed many balls. Unforced errors. In the last set, he played short first, rather than gambling with the attack. Better opportunities.

There is a version in a parallel universe in which Timo won 4:1. Anyway the match had nearly everything: Fairness, comeback, fantastic rallies … just a handswitch was missing ;)

But I have to say Tmo Boll has more physical advantage from European gene for his age, ML can't stay good form after 4th game. TB still can compete with Lin yun ju in 5 games and won in Doha star contender.
