Max had to watch Billy die. Even though they didn't like each other being step-siblings and all, she still watched her brother sacrifice himself for a girl he barely knew. Of course she's still grieving. You can notice she changed her style wearing all black, taking the bus when she always used to skateboard to school and pushing away her friends and boyfriend. Of course she still cares, heck she loves Lucas. It's normal to be hurt and have nightmares. I love Max, she's my favorite character, and I can relate to her so much. I'll defend her every single time

I don't know if it is because she pulls her hair back more, if makeup design is making them stand out, or if she is just a really good actress, but Max's eyes are so haunting in this season. I didn't notice them much in the previous two seasons. That poor kid. Her life was hard enough before she lost Billy.

"What do those stickers mean?" Those are postage stamps guys! Before we had shipping labels you put postage stamps on stuff. The heavier something was, the more stamps it needed. You don't put a shipping label on a letter, you just put a stamp on there. Same thing with packages before shipping labels and bar-coded tracking systems. Technically, I believe you can still ship packages with stamps, as long as you have enough on there to cover the cost of the package.

Finally, season 4! I hope you have your tissues ready! Yes, the beginning of this episode is a flashback or sorts to the year 1979. Eleven didn't open the gate and escape from the Institute until 1983. Number 8 escaped the Institue well before the events you see in the opening. Lucas, Dustin, and Mike are Freshman (9th grade) at Hawkins High School, Robin is a Senior now, and Steve graduated last year. Will and Eleven (Jane) are in California and are Freshman there.

Chrissy's death was one of the most scarring scenes I have witnessed. This is the best season in my opinion. Cant wait to enjoy it along with you!

Also, Applejack is one of the characters in My Little Pony, Dustin's nerd speech in the Russian vents to Erica brought her in. He was teaching the new generation to be themselves and proud of being a nerd before Eddie tasked him with doing so this episode.

I will tread lightly lol, but even seeing Billy's dad and what he had to endure, and even being able to empathize with the situation, I still don't think trauma is ultimately an excuse for being abusive to others. Like how many years was he making peoples lives a living hell before we see his redemption in Season 3? Which yes I do agree that he was redeemed in the end, and gave his life to help defeat the mindflayer and save El, his sister, etc. Anyways, Season 4 definitely deserves the hype and we get one of the greatest characters in the series. Can't wait to watch along with you!

SPOILER ALERT ****** . . . . i think she actually escaped the same way one showed eleven. he expected eight (kali) to rip out the chip, like eleven did, but she didn't fall for the manipulation and left him behind. if you notice in season 2, kali taught eleven that she could control her powers through anger (just as one had already taught her and eleven didn't remember). probably who taught that to kali was one.

@@vivianbragam It's a good theory to add to the storyline, but Kali does not have telekinesis ability to remove the chip, as she can only conjure up illusions and embed them into others' minds. She was probably fortunate enough to escape after she figured out in little amount of time between when she and El were separated and her escape on how she can benefit through her powers to help her, like through emotional content.

This is one of the best seasons for a show, period. You're in for a ride and so here for watching you guys through it. LFG!! 🔥

It's incredible how Chrissie was in just one episode, and fans absolutely fell in love with her. I'm totally on the Chrissie & Eddie ship! They would have made a great couple!

Poor Ted he does not deserve to be hated like this. He is just a normal working man supporting his family and we have never even seen him be mean or do anything to hurt anyone or that could be considered bad. You want him to drop dead for just existing and not being cool enough.

Since you are further along than chapter 1, I can point out to you that while playing dungeons and dragons, playing against Vecna, Dustin rolled an 11 & it wasn't enough to kill Vecna. Also, Eddie, a brit. He does the American accent well

this season is my favourite, where almost every episode is a full on movie. Incredible writing. It was a tier or 2 above the previous seasons

Great season but imo season 3 is better because you are more affected. Plus, the longer episodes have alot of filler that isn't necessary. I was a little letdown by season 4 even though it is entertaining.

They truly upped the stakes this season. From Sci fi thriller to supernatural horror. The show has matured with the cast.

I think you might be some of the only people I have personally heard of that didn’t immediately draw a certain conclusion from the Season 3 finale post-credits scene. And you apparently went back and watched it again! This season is going to be a wild ride for both of you, I’m excited for you guys.

season 4 already! time flies

This season may seem very different, and sure, the gore is shown a bit more, but you understand pretty quickly how it's not different at all, and you'll make all the connections at the end. It's pretty genius how they made it all make sense despite allegedly not having planned the entire story initially.

How is your favorite not Erica!? She and Robin were such strong adds. With you on Dustin... and also Murry as honorable mention. Fun FYI, Eddie is the guard who tried to send Arya away at Winterfell.

About Billy, my opinion is that being abused in your childhood explains a lot but doesn’t excuse treating others badly, doesn’t excuse bullying and racism. So while I can feel compassion for Billy and understand where he’s coming from, I don’t think he was a good person. He redeemed himself at the end but that’s about it. Superb acting and great character though.

There's no actual evidence that her parents are actually like that. Not to be too spoilery but the monster seems to project the victims worst fears and there's plenty of examples in the coming attacks that show that it doesn't necessarily have to be true in order for the monster to attack you with it. We never meet Chrissy's parents so we don't actually know

Howdy guys!! Season 4 is my favorite so far. Eleven being powerless for a while allows her character to have some growth. The song that Max listens to all season is Running Up That Hill by one of my all-time favorites, Kate Bush. It was popular when it came out back in 1985 and this series caused the song to once again get on the popular song charts, 35+ years after it's original release.

Spartan: You haven't seen Terminator? You have to; Terminator and Terminator 2 at least - You will love it!

Man my biggest wish for Stranger Things was to have a Billy redemption like Steve had. I really wanted him to join the crew! So i feel yalls pain.

Pudgey when a character who has appeared in four episodes is dragged into a pool in the upside down and then being showed her body 3 episodes later: nah I don’t think she’s dead, and proceeds to keep hope for a whole other season. Pudgey when Hop one of their favorites for three straight season dies, with no close up or body and even a line giving even a slimmer of hope in the after credit scene: Yep that mofo dead

Understanding why someone is the way they are does not mean they are redeemed. He was not redeemed, and I doubt he realistically was going to soon. But we can empathize knowing what caused his actions and mindset.

"At least he is still playing D&D" Well, there again is the tragedy that is Will's story this entire show. All season 3 he just wanted to play D&D with his friends but they were in their teenage phase and no longer interested in this "child-stuff". The moment Will moves away they finally come around and start with D&D again (even more extreme this time) but Will can no longer be part of that 😢

Jason giving his speech "I like this guy", ummm you likely won't be saying that soon. The stickers on the package are postage stamps. As far as that thing that killed Chrissy I can say that it is not the Mind Flayer. The Mind Flayer would have needed an opened gate and to possess someone in order to do anything. There is no open gate at this point, so this monster doesn't need one opened to do what he can do. Eight/Kali wasn't in the lab during whatever happened there as she had ran away before that happened.

Pudgey - great, goes with it. Spartan - eye rolling, huffing and puffing, makes it hard to watch. Snide.

This season is heavily influenced by the Nightmare on elm street and other 80s teen horror. Enjoy😊

i think my problem with billy comes from the fact that his hatred towards lucas was very clearly racially motivated and that part of him was never really addressed, i definitely have sympathy for him and his situation otherwise but i can’t say that i see him as completely redeemed because that one element was never compensated for if there had been a moment where he specifically showed a change in attitude perhaps to save lucas or something, i’d probably feel differently but i think the duffer brothers are intentionally making him morally complex

Y'all and other people's love for Billy is quite telling. Yes he did save some at the end but that doesn't change the fact that he was a racist and a abuser and a bully who left life long trauma for teens to deal with. Most racist are taught to hate, most bullies are abused themselves and most people who commit assault were in fact themselves assaulted. But you're not giving them a pass. Something tells me like everyone else in the understanding of why people do bad things it comes with the caveat of if they're good looking or not.

Give it some time, episode 1 is a bit confusing, and nothing makes sense, but slowly everything comes together, everything ties in. Just pay attention to every detail.
