Hi, i have a question. Im a fairly new driver. I was driving for about 2 years, then took about a 12-15month break, went to do another job, now im going back to driving, when i put my card in, what status should i enter upon manual entry?

Definitely you should start with break,… If you start your shift at 6:00 (let’s say), by the time you get into the truck, it takes you 10 minutes. It’s going to be 6:10. When you insert your card, you will choose MANUAL ENTRIES. BREAK …… till 6:00, then 10 minutes of OTHER WORK I hope, that it helped

So if i work 5 1/2 hour max a day(job and knock)max 28 hour week i dont need 15 min break at all?

Quick new driver question. If I've have had 45 minute driving time break before 6 hours working time. How much of that is counted towards to 45 minutes needed for working time?

Doesn’t matter for what purpose you’ve taken the break. The break counts for both. After the break is finished, you can work another 6 hours (of course, not exceeding 4h 30min of driving uninterrupted

@@subumbrela4582 @SUB UMBRELA another 6? Thought I'd have to have another before 15 9 hours work mark. So confusing 😂 I need to learn this before I start driving.

@@tonyc9793 you would need to take another 15 min before 9h work mark, in case you took only 15 min first break. (assuming you didn’t exceed 4 hours 30 mins driving)

What if I start at 09:00 drive for 4.5hrs, take a 45 minute break and then do other work for 7 hrs. Do I need another 15 min break at 20:15? This would equal 60 mins total break. I ask because my infringement software shows an infringement in this scenario at 20:15 (working more than 6 hrs without a WTD break of 15 mins).

You can’t do other work for more than 6 hours without having a 15 min break

I worked 14 minutes over my 6 hours combined driving and other work. I then stopped and had 60 minutes break. Have I committed an infringement?

Yes. You should get rest (at least 15 mins) not later than 6 hours (combined).

Up to 9hrs on a 15min break is not safe, in charge of a 16'2", 44T vehicle, a topsy 3- legged stool. These trls are manually loaded by the driver, 10T per floor x 2. Floor manual workers get longer breaks than that. Logic has left the building + safety is Out-The-Window. This is why driver eat at the wheel or leave the job etc etc.
