On February 1-2, 2011 the Midwest was hit with a record-breaking snowstorm/blizzard. 20 inches of snow fell in the Chicago area, followed by strong winds. WSOR's Chicago-bound train had already left Janesville when the Belt Railway of Chicago notified WSOR that they would not accept the train. It was held at Avalon overnight. The next day (February 2), the train was moved a few miles east so that it would not become drifted in snow. This video records that move. The train still did not reach Chicago the next evening due to delays en route bucking more snow drifts. The train was finally delivered to the BRC on Friday morning, February 4. WSOR brought out its Jordan Spreader on Thursday (see related video).
