Okay, now i am binge watching Mr Swann's lectures. What a rare combination of deep, deep knowledge and ease of delivery.

13:23 I was laughing my head off! As a "Luth-Arian" Pastor, of course, I recognize the basic "Bar Form" of the German Chorale. For Wagner, it was a clever way to introduce us musically to "the rules" of composition that the Meistersingers swore by. But then I had to think: since so much of the humor of the drama is based on mispronouncing and emphasizing the wrong syllables in the German, did Dr. Swann deliberately butcher the word "Lutheran" at this point to introduce that concept? If he did, it was brilliant and I can assure him that at least once person got the joke! Me.

As much is I adore Mr Swann, I would argue that this was purely a slip. Possibly 'Presbitarian' coming into his mind at that moment? Just a guess, i am not a native English speaker. But that fake Chorale!:) I am a son of a Lutheran pastor, but never before realised why it sounded so familiar. :)
