20:57 that squat contraption is so stupid. Look at that barrel get stuck. This is a timed event and the athletes spend their time standing around waiting.

A timed event where the barrel sequence fall time is not standardized? Look how they come down for Lalas and then Thor, Thors on the last rep gets help because the implement isnt even going on its own. Now let me be clear, this is thors year, he wins if you do reps or max or any squat, but this event sucks is all I am saying, you cant time something if it is not standardized, those barells are all coming down at different times. ps thanks for upload

I like that theres a head to head between #2 and 3 for the qualifier, but i wish it was last man standing like how they did it in 2017. have them both fight and dig deep for it.

I really don't like this version of the last event for the qualifiers. I mean, last year was not great putting in 4th place, but 2nd place not getting any benefit over 3rd place isn't right.

Those wsm organizers sure love that stupid squat apparatus. Unless it is for max weight, get rid of it. The athleats should not have to wait for the barrels to fall.

Squat for time is so fucking stupid, they should be allowed to keep squating the heaviest weight and than the most reps win, simple as that.
