WS6 Trans Am Revival - It has been sitting for YEARS

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Thank you so much for tuning in and Subscribing!
This project is a fun one as it was once a very nice car and now has been sitting outside for 3 years or so!
It has all the parts to make it a great base for a bad little streetcar.
Current Mods:
-Fast 92 intake
-Billet Throttle Body
-Long Tube Headers
-Custom Exhaust
-Camshaft (unknown specs)
-Strange S60!!
-Trailing arms
-Pan Hard Bar
-Mildly Built Trans
We start the revival with new brakes, fluids, BMR lowering springs and removing some nasty wiring and getting the gauges working.
Next video on it coming soon! It was filthy!
We'll see you in the next one!

Damn I just bought a 1994 Pontiac trans with the LT1.. it's not the ws6. But it does have a viper alarm with remote start... I have OCD and I can't stand a cluster fuck of wires not to mention the kid that had it installed neon lights that run underneath the car... So I have a ton of work to do on it to get it to show car material... It needs a little body work and a complete paint job cause the kid that had it painted it with way to much metal flake in the black paint. The motor has 183000 Miles on it and the the engine is bone stock. So and good info on how to get rid of the viper alarm wiring and keep it back to specs from factory.

What do you recommend as an anti theft system? I have a viper alarm system on my 83 Trans am, I had it installed after the car was stolen from me, over 10 years ago or so. Great video.

You guys seem pretty good with the wiring on these F-Bodies. I've got a 1998 Trans Am with a peculiar issue that I can't seem to sort out. When driving (usually at high speed - 100+ mph), the fuse to the gauges will blow. The starter/alternator/cruise control are on the same circuit so the car won't charge or start while that fuse is blown. Once I replace the fuse, it starts back up but sometimes blows the fuse again almost immediately. I've replaced the alternator. Any ideas?

Would an after market viper system cause the system to throw random abs inop and brake codes? I got one in mine and had to unhook the little box cause the alarm starting chirping out of nowhere.

They are tedious but simple to fully remove. I don't see where this model would cause those issues. Sorry! Sound like a pain

Sooooooo looks like the guys got his car running and that was good enough for him? Haven’t seen anymore videos of this car, but damn I really wanted to see this. I just did this with my 1999 30th anniversary Trans Am that sat in my garage for 18 years under a car cover. In the process of making a video of it getting completely fixed and restored to almost perfect condition.

Don't feel so bad my friend! I just picked up a '97 WS6 friday with 8,800 miles which practically sat in the garage for almost 22 years. I got all the fluids changed plus new tires and the car rides like a dream. It did cost me 1600 bucks total for all the work, plus the left headlight motor had to be changed as it was worn out. I'm going to make it my daily driver so that all the parts get lubricated properly. How many miles does the one you're buying have?
