@@Edward-bd8iy I still haven't figured it out, unless it's just a sound effect they added because they met at the 'tree'. Because that's a sound they usually reserve for crossing arms bouncing into vehicles.

But why are the railroads in the US allowed to block road crossings for hours at a time .the one in question in Elkart is notorious .it would never happen in the UK there would be public and local government out cry

Since there have been railroads and cars, there have been impatient people. I can't see that changing.

Those VR cameras are pretty top-notch!! Trains I expect to see with amazing clarity (even paused!!)…but that Vandenberg launch seen from Hesperia was STUNNING! 🚀 (…and that awesome reverb at Chehalis, 5:40 , tickles my inner-ear!! 🤩)

Good stuff, thanks VRF. The 3-Way at Fort Madison made for a great start and I thought that No.1069 'Virginian' looked really good in setting of the Horseshoe Curve. Most of all the Jeep at La Grange. It looks like a Willys CJ-3B, but the windscreen differs to the photos I have. See that Manual Gearchange. I've been driving vehicles with those for 49 years in the UK. I don't think I could cope with an Automatic.

That did happen in the UK once, where a tourist hired a 5-speed manual saloon and drove everywhere in 2nd Gear - until the engine was destroyed. @@briangmiller7488

VA EMD SD70ACE HU looks good repainted and new number boards, I think deer 🦌 might have more sense then Darwins at Railroad crossings!🛤🚂

There are a few miles of parked centerbeam cars on the line from Prentice to Ladysmith Wi. I think the higher interest rates are choking off house building.

It's too bad the camera didn't catch the reactions of the Darwins when the train started at 17:58 .

Gosh darn that car that drove onto the tracks there in Flagstaff... thank goodness there wasn't a train on that main else smashy smashy!

I've only seen some Auto racks TTGX yellow frame. Stainless panels and a CPKC plaque here in Milwaukee. It seems most every sign by The Yards was changed out within 3 days of the merger

Likely heading to or from repairs in a place like Chicago. Metrolink just isn't big enough to have a shop of their own for repairs. Shops like that costs millions of dollars. Metra, for example, with 242 stations on 11 lines and lines like the Aurora-Chicago Metra line on the Race Track which has dozens of daily trains 11 cars long and Metra Electric which also has dozens of daily trains, you're talking about dozens of daily trains from all around Chicago. They have hundreds of passenger cars so have numerous shops to repair passenger cars. Therefore it's far far cheaper for Metro link to send passenger cars and motive power to a place like Chicago. You'll also see the small Nashville Tennessee -commuter line send their locomotives to the Amtrak Beech Grove Indiana shops, outside Indianapolis since the Nashville Star power is old Amtrak units.

Baldwin's experimental 4-10-2 steam locomotive 60000 from 1926 has been on display for roughly 90 years the Franklin Institute science museum in Philadelphia. It had been been tested for several years all around the US without notable success. I think it ran only in the BLW factory livery and number boards.

@@BarredCoast0 If memory serves there's a release valve to make sure that air pressure doesn't back up, creating a major problem. If a huge gust of air hits a train car brakes it could break them.
