Being from West Virginia this also freaked me out. But I have experienced the people who the Whitaker’s are based off of.. I went over towards their part of the holler and one of them started jumping on my car.. it happens 😂😂

I like how they were not just dumb hillbillies, they acutually knew what they were doing and had tons of experience. This is what really made them terrifying.

Funny Story: My dad and stepmom watched this on tv and thought it was Jason X, even though I repeatedly explained that not only does Jason X take place on a spaceship in the future, this isn’t even the same franchise.

The first wrong turn is fantastic. It was one of very few horror movies that actually scared me as a kid. Not showing the hillbillies that much was smart and made it scarier, plus their make up was amazing and felt real.

Chris living throughout the whole movie is so satisfying, I was worried the entire time, I just don't like it when main characters do the right things and are efficient but die anyway

You know, as far as horror movies go, I feel like all of the decisions in this movie that the victims make actually make sense (having one person run away as a distraction, climbing the tower to look for a radio, jumping into the trees, etc)

Scott's/Jeremy Sisto's death was so sad because he almost made it and gets killed right in front of his fiancee. He also had the best line in the movie! "We're never going in the woods ever again." I love it when James reviews successful horror films like this. It's real hard to find horror films with memorial deaths and a good plot. Now most of them are just remakes of a old masterpiece they should have left alone.

Man, I really liked Chris. He made some smart plays. Not exactly double-tap smart, but still a cunning dude. Might give these movies a try

I gotta say in my opinion the first 3 are really good 4 and 5 are alright but 6 was terrible

Fun fact: Francine was NOT dead when the mountain men brought her back to eat, she was still alive and has a pulse in her neck you can see her eyes move too as intended by the director.

Fr,my mom grew me up with horror movies but for some reason,I hate gore,like alot and get overwhelmed and heated when I watch gory movie's, specially when kids die,so honestly I can't stand gory movie's and find the gore dramatic at time's with the blood and way to much. She tried to make me a horror fan,but I turned out to hate most of them, I only like scary movies like the conjuring and stuff like that.and movie's these days are just filled with sexual stuff filled with overdramatic gore,with over used tropes.

The First 3 Wrong Turns movies are the best even the first one it's an underrated series and i feel like doesn't get as much love this one is by far my favorite one! :)

after finishing all the kill counts, i have decided the second one is the only one worth watching

I love this movie. It came out during the time where main characters just keep being at the mercy of the bad guys. These characters fight back and I love that.

There isn’t too many horror or thriller movies that terrify me but this was was definitely one of them.

I always felt like a bit of an outsider for loving this movie so much when it came out. I was like 14. I had teenage fantasies about getting stuck in that watch tower with jessi and Carly.
